Once you get a higher end card, or even a decent midranger like GTX x60, you know these cards are pointless versus an IGP.

Well not always. Some quite not that old SFF machines from dell and a like, with some recent core i3/i5/i7 processor, these things gives you good perf. update. And then there's of course htpc usage, where you get hdmi2.0 and hevc/vp9 decode just from simple graphics card update.

Yeah... still. Been there done that, never again am I putting effort in revamping OEM junk. You always end up with a low life expentancy and sub par system. Shitty PSU, slow CPU, it all bites you in the ass one day.

I have a R7250 and it plays most modern games at, 1080p and the to games at 720p...I would sure hope this does better than a 3 year old card in the same tier.
