BenQ, internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle devices, today introduced the PD2500Q designer monitor, the first of its displays to be individually calibrated by factory engineers to produce 100% sRGB and Rec. 709 color precision. Furthermore, BenQ announced that all PD Series designer monitors will be professionally factory-calibrated going forward.

"PD2500Q is a declaration of BenQ's commitment to optimize professional display performance,"" said Conway Lee, President of BenQ Corporation. "Our significant resource investment to individual color calibration ensures PD Series monitors provide precise details to enable designers to create perfection."

Reference Certification Quality Color and Image Performance
PD2500Q's 25-inch 2K QHD (2560x1440) LED IPS panel brings out the finest details in professional designs with superb clarity and depth of images. To inspire absolute design confidence, PD2500Q ensures 100% sRGB and Rec. 709 color gamut accuracy as well as Technicolor Color Certification to meet Hollywood and the entertainment industry's exacting color standards.

With precisely consistent, reliable color performance guaranteed by individual factory calibration to meet strict Delta-E and Gamma tolerances, each PD2500Q comes with validated calibration data reports for customized precision.

Custom Features Designed for Designers
PD2500Q offers an abundance of smart tools specifically developed for designers, including the following specialized modes:
  • CAD/CAM Mode activates superior contrast for lines and shapes in technical illustrations, accentuating the finest details in Pro/E, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, CATIA, or other design software.
  • Animation Mode enhances the brightness of dark areas without overexposing bright regions, to overcome often-challenging design work with intricate details in dark images.
  • Darkroom Mode creates the optimal image brightness and contrast for work in darkened post-processing environments for superb clarity and detail sharpness.
Ideal for dual-monitor usage in creative environments, PD2500Q's edge-to-edge ultra slim bezels maximize workspaces with minimal footprint, and its 90-degree pivoting, height-adjustable stand enhances display productivity and versatility. Capable of multiple display daisy-chaining with Multi-Stream Transport (MST) support, PD2500Q features multiple DisplayPort, mini DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3.1 Gen1, headphone, and audio ports for comprehensive Windows, Mac, or mobile source device connectivity.

BenQ/Qisda makes a lot of OEM/ODM products so that doesn't surprise me the least.
