Remember that EVGA card to end all cards? Well, EVGA has now officially announced it. Built in collaboration with overclocker K|ngp|n (Vince Lucido), the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti K|ngp|n Edition Graphics Card sports a cooler that builds upon the iCX technology innovations EVGA has been moving towards. In addition, the company has redoubled efforts towards packing the highest-grade electrical components in this graphics card for extreme overclocking methods, even going so far as to include support (via a connector) to external overclocking modules such as EVBot.

While the cooler is reminiscent of EVGA's other iCX 3.0 coolers, the GTX 1080 Ti K|ngp|n Edition features a copper-plates aluminum heatsink. The K|ngp|n Edition comes with a fully LN2-geared PCB, which looks to aid in this kind of cooling. The I/O bracket is home to 3x Mini-DisplayPort 1.3, 1x DVI and 1x HDMI 2.0. This uncommon allocation of ports was done so as not to have the connectivity occupying two slots, which in turn allows users to fit the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti K|ngp|n Edition, with a single-slot water-cooling solution. EVGA guarantees that these cards will reach at the very least 2025 MHz when overclocked, which are some serious MHz increase over stock - the 2x 8-pin power connectors must be aiding this, though these aren't as overly extravagant as some other 3x 8-pin solutions we've seen. Expect the GTX 1080 Ti Kingpin Edition to be available in July.

Guaranteed 2025Mhz... Check
Memory: 12Ghz... Check
Silence.... Check (zero coil whine)
Far less expensive... Check

FE edition under water.

By all means buy one if you want one (i did last time) but be warned - be very warned, on air it is no better than any other 1080ti. Ideal for HC overclockers or folk that simply want one but if you buy it for performance - dont. FWIW - I did know all this before i bought mine but now I've been there, I can slag it off :D

^This is pretty much the story for all GTX 10 cards so far, excluding some really bad designs like MSI armor and such

what a shitty looking cooler on a nice PCB, that should be covered with a nice clear waterblock haha, but in the end a 1080Ti pascal GPU is still only a 1080Ti pascal GPU no mater what you add or change.

Yar. Me too :p

That's why I like the Pascal architecture - OC is far higher than advertised boost.
