Sunday marked a milestone Xbox E3 Briefing as Microsoft Corp. unveiled the world's most powerful console, Xbox One X (formerly code-named "Project Scorpio") and its largest and most diverse games lineup in E3 history. Broadcast for the first time in 4K UHD on Mixer, Xbox showcased a record 42 games in its briefing including 22 with console exclusivity from creators large and small. Coming to all Xbox One markets starting Nov. 7, Xbox One X will retail for $499, 449 pounds, 499 euros, CA$599 and AU$649.

Xbox One X was designed to be the best console to create and play games on, putting the greatest graphic fidelity in the hands of the world's best game creators to create true 4K games. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer underscored that every game will play great across the Xbox One family, and Xbox One X also makes your existing library even better, with better textures, smoother frame rates and faster load times.

"Xbox empowers game developers large and small to create different types of games for every type of player," Spencer said. "Not only do we have the biggest cross-platform blockbusters on our platform, we've also scoured the world to bring our fans unique content from creative artists that capture the imagination."

Xbox One is the only console system designed to play the best games of the past, present and future. The Xbox One games and accessories you already own are compatible with Xbox One X, so if you're an Xbox gamer, chances are you already have a library of games that will look and play better on Xbox One X.

Spencer announced that Xbox will expand the Xbox One backward-compatibility library of nearly 400 popular Xbox 360 games to include original Xbox classics, starting with fan favorite "Crimson Skies." Xbox also revealed that "Gears of War 4," "Forza Horizon 3," "Minecraft," "Resident Evil 7," "Final Fantasy 15," "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands," "Rocket League" and dozens of other popular Xbox One games will receive free updates to take full advantage of the power of Xbox One X. A host of these titles will be enhanced to run in true 4K, and many will be available at Xbox One X launch.

Introducing Xbox One X
Xbox One X was created to deliver uncompromised power, ultimate compatibility and design excellence. It's both the most powerful and smallest console Xbox has ever built.

Xbox One X. Games play better on Xbox One X. The world's most powerful console begins rolling out to all Xbox One markets starting on Nov. 7. With 40 percent more power than any other console, experience immersive true 4K gaming when paired with a 4K display, such as Samsung's flagship QLED TV. Xbox One X makes your existing library even better, with better textures, smoother frame rates and faster load times, even on a 1080p TV. Xbox One X also offers the ultimate 4K entertainment package with 4K Ultra HD for Blu-ray X and streamed content, HDR support for gaming and video, and Dolby Atmos support. Xbox One X will join the Xbox One family of devices and coexist alongside Xbox One and Xbox One S, and all Xbox One games and accessories are compatible.

Empowering the world's creators
Xbox empowers game developers around the world to create different types of games for every type of player. Yeah that's Microsoft for you. They tell you one day they are huge on PC gaming (but have fingers crossed behind their back), and the next day say how awesome it is to have titles that won't come to PC. :shadedshu:

Hopefully some of the better ones won't sell very well. That's how they grudgingly gave the PC world Ryse: Son of Rome.

hm, console releases have lost alot of steam for me. I'm honestly not a super avid console gamer. but I would get excited about them. Only because I loved the feeling of progress if that makes any sense. PS3 was probably the console that I felt crazy about. the 360 was great though im not really an xbox fan it was a big leap over the original xbox like the PS3 was to the PS2. Then we got the PS4 and the xbox one. great machines, but thats where I started to feel a bit lack luster. then the S variants and slim variants and plus variants and pro variants. started to come out.

Honestly. for someone that wasn't that into it originally, I don't think the industry could have done a worse job aw'ing an audience. Incremental console releases and "version-esq" releases are dull.

Maybe this one can do 60 fps at 1080p instead of 25 fps at 900p with reduced texture res/post processing.

I'm waiting for PS5 announcement with X destroying specs lol

I disagree. Xbox needs some console only exclusives for incentive to even buy the console. Otherwise they strip any point in getting one.

The whole "Coming to Windows 10 and Xbox" is a bad move for some of the games imo.

The last and only console I've ever bought was PS2. And it was because I wanted Burnout series. It's also one of reasons why I hate exclusives. I had to buy a god damn console just to enjoy Burnout. The one that came to PC, Burnout Paradise was just a bland and rather boring open world look a like of originals from PS2.

I actually like what they are doing with the Xbone line...
I think the biggest complaint Microsoft seen over the years with the 360 was once it died when you replaced it it was with a newer model of the same thing...
. The problem I see coming soon is with MP lag from slower generations on an already slow as shit P2P system...
I really wish Microsoft would take up their second biggest complaint which is if I have to pay for MP I want it in servers and NOT on a generic P2P system.

Main problem with consoles is lack of backwards compatibility. When you change the console, you can say goodbye to your existing games. Unless you prefer your living room filled with all consoles. Which is just idiotic when 1 PC can run all games from today all the way back to the early 80's.

Main problem with consoles is lack of backwards compatibility. When you change the console, you can say goodbye to your existing games. Unless you prefer your living room filled with all consoles. Which is just idiotic when 1 PC can run all games from today all the way back to the early 80's.
The only 360 games that I have that aren't compatible with the Xbone aren't compatible because of controllers...
Going forward I think M$ is creating a lineage of games.

I disagree. Xbox needs some console only exclusives for incentive to even buy the console. Otherwise they strip any point in getting one.

The whole "Coming to Windows 10 and Xbox" is a bad move for some of the games imo.
I double disagree, LOL. Majority of console buyers are hardcore console players who don't give a squat about what happens on yesterday's platform, the PC. It's their way or no way.

Hell, even my children's friends, grown now, still think PC is old fashioned. In reality, the thought of fiddling with settings to improve playability is beyond their limited minds and sends them into panic attack mode. What you have in TPU community, people who use both, is not the norm.
