WESTBURY, NY - June 19th - VidaBox, a manufacturer of premium media center systems, is announcing the release of a new media center system called the MAGNUM , which will feature a full color, 12.1" motorized touch panel with support for Blu-ray, HD DVD, and CableCARD.

"We've designed the MAGNUM to be a state-of-the-art media center, packed with support for the latest HD technologies, along with 1080p HD playback, optional Dolby Digital & DTS HD support, and up to 9.0TB of massive, VidaSafe-protected storage," said Steven Cheung, a co-founder of VidaBox.

"With HD recordings taking up so much space, customers need a solution that will be allow them to store thousands of hours of HD content along with their DVD, music, and picture collections."

Featuring up to an AMD 6000+ dual core CPU and up to 4GB of installed RAM, the MAGNUM comes with a silently cooled nVidia 8600GTS video card standard to render back crystal clear video in full 1080p. DD-HD & DTS-HD is also available via analog outputs connected to a pre-processor or receiver. With options for two (2) analog or CableCARD tuners and two (2) additional OTA HD tuners, the MAGNUM can record up to 4 shows at once while playing back a Blu-ray or HD DVD disc.

"Users can easily control playback of music or other media at the touch of their fingertips with the MAGNUM's integrated 1080p touchscreen," Steven continues. "There's no need to turn on a TV or projector every time playback needs to be changed, and it works well with home theaters set up for Blu-ray or HD DVD playback. Users are no longer hassled with manually switching between 1080p playback and a lower resolution for touchscreen compatibility!"

The new MAGNUM VidaBox media center systems are available now, starting at $7999..

Good lord thats expensive. At least the specs on it are nice and the offerings are superb. I think I would be able to take the box and add all that stuff for a few grand less though.

Nice box.
