Thermaltake today introduced the Pacific W4 Plus CPU water block, a step-up from its Pacific W4 RGB block launched in January. While the underlying block hasn't changed, Thermaltake updated its top to feature 12 RGB LED elements, with support for 16.8 million colors. The older Pacific W4 RGB only supports 256 colors, put out from fewer diodes.

The Pacific W4 Plus features a standardized RGB LED header, and the company is including the Riing Plus RGB software to let you control the color, brightness, and lighting patterns of the LEDs. What's more, the Pacific W4 Plus also includes socket AM4 retention modules, in addition to socket LGA2011/2066, and LGA115x. The company didn't reveal pricing.

We have RGB: SSDs, RAMs, motherboards, GPUs, keyboards, mice, mousepads, cases, PSUs, headphones, LCS fittings, LCS blocks, AIOs, Air coolers, Case fans and even PC speakers. If have missed anything please let me know this whole RGB nonsense has gotten out of hands way to quickly.

Thermal paste. You don't have RGB thermal paste. How long before they add color to thermal paste? It's been done with toothpaste.

The purpose is to cool the processor and not to shine in colors. Ultra cheap parts with ultra Inflated price.
Slots will definitely be twisted and streaming through will be limited ! The function of the element is abandoned and replaced by RGB look.

Don't give Intel ideas, they will make transparent heatspreader to show it off.

I think it all boils down to this: RGB accessories are pretty rad, it's ppl who just buy the most expensive but have no taste and just use a multi color shift with all the colors of the rainbow at the same time with a breathing effect that make it look ridiculous. You can customize all parts of a car and make it look crap when you got no taste or make it look gorgeous if you have a plan.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)

Or, some people just don't like bling.

RGB wifi routers? I don't think I've seen those. Btw, you forgot soundcards. Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5 joined the RGB craze as well :D All we need now is RGB BluRay burner lol

RGB on monitor backside. Best thing since sliced bread. Cause even if there's already a hole in your wallet from paying nvidia extra $$$ for g-sync module you still wanna pay asus for an LED gaming stand,a gaming rgb rog logo ON THE FRIGGIN BACK OF THE MONITOR and a rog hologram as well. That should bring a $600 panel to $1000 easily so rejoice gamers, just bend a little bit more for us to screw you properly. Let all those LEDs compensate the backlight bleed that you get with a $1K display.

I started this post just in a banter but now I'm genuinely angry.

I'd actually love RGB on back of my screen, Philips Ambilight style. So it's not just random color changing but adaptive that changes according to happenings on the screen. But I think Philips still holds patents for that. What's odd is why Philips doesn't use that for their monitors. It's their tech and their monitors, it would convince many people to opt for Philips instead of something else. I have Ambilight TV and it's amazing stuff. Having Ambilight for gaming on a monitor would be quite awesome experience.
