It was just this past Monday that we saw the release of the Radeon Crimson ReLive 17.8.1 WHQL drivers, but AMD decided that was not enough and today have released the latest update to their Radeon Software with the Crimson ReLive 17.8.2 drivers. This is a beta, non-WHQL driver, but I am not complaining about fast driver releases from anyone. This driver version adds support for F1 2017 which releases imminently, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (Early Access), as well as the upcoming beta for Destiny 2. There are also a few bug fixes including the important bug with RX Vega wherein Radeon Wattman would not correctly apply overclock settings. Grab the drivers from the download link below, and read on for the full change log.

DOWNLOAD: AMD Radeon Crimson ReLive Edition 17.8.2 Drivers

Support For :
  • F1 2017 (Up to 4% performance improvement measured on Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics when compared to Radeon Software Crimson ReLive edition 17.8.1)
  • PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Early Access (Up to 18% performance improvement measured on Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics when compared to Radeon Software Crimson ReLive edition 17.8.1)
  • Destiny 2 Beta

Fixed Issues
  • Display may blank or go black after install upgrade with Radeon RX Vega Series graphics products.
  • Random corruption may appear in Microsoft desktop productivity applications on Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.
  • The "Reset" option in Radeon Settings Gaming tab may enable the "HBCC Memory Segment" feature instead of setting it to the default disabled state. Radeon WattMan may not reach applied overclock states on Radeon RX Vega series graphics.
  • Unable to create Eyefinity configurations through the Eyefinity Advanced Setup option.

With AMD's card crawling into Unicorn level of existence or crazy high prices at best, slow games optimization won't be an issue since fewer people use it to game compared to previous years

They should redirect their focus into optimizing driver for mining instead

I've been impressed with AMD game ready drivers since 290X release. AMD drivers are on par with what I was used to with Nvidia. Clean, easy installs. It's been smooth sailing for me since fury release and no issues with the games I play.

Same here, in fact I'd say AMD drivers are 1 up on nvidia as their linux driver efforts is better.
But on the topic of windows drivers there are different issues with Nvidia and AMD.
Both have issues that plague them throughout time.

My issues with nvidia are multimonitors are a nightmare.

I have an issue with my 1070 and TV. It defaults my colour settings every-time I turn off/on the TV with the computer still on. Settings like RGB Limited > YCRBR 4:2:2 (the best settings for my TV), so it's a pain to reset this everyday when I turn the TV on again. I've researched a lot on how to fix this, tried many different approaches, but no luck. It appears to be a known issue with nvidia cards since 2012, so there goes their "awesome" driver support for me.

Didn't have this problem with my Radeons HD7750, HD 280 and RX580, so I'll be buying a Vega 56 if I can find it up to $450.

I've always had an AMD card in my computer because of TV before.
Now I have a dedicated machine that connects to my receiver cause I've always had handshake issues with Nvidia to receivers (Brands: Onkyo, Yamaha) specifically Onkyo SR-875 was a nightmare.
Amd was always a bit better for receivers but cannot point to why o.0

as I don't connect to it anymore I've been fine with a GTX970 cause it had linux performance but since AMD really have changed the Linux graphics card landscape I'm changing to RX64 (found at launch price).
Hoping bios edit will work in the future!

You can already edit your bios in linux, you can load a custom kernel and flash a BIOS post boot. But no lucky for windows users yet.

Not gonna rush out and download these.I just installed an RX-480 in fiancé computer using 17.8.1. It was stuck at 300MHz. Went back to 17.7.2. Same thing. I had to go clear back to 17.6.2 to get a driver that allowed it to actually run at rated speed.

I'd been having issues with my Fury losing my DP "handshake" when my monitor goes off then won't come back on. Flipping the monitor off and on or pulling the DP Cable out brings it back. Last one and this one seems to have remedied it. Fingers crossed.
I almost skipped these but there were rumblings of performance gains so I bit.

I've had that problem before and it was the monitor.

Wonder if they are going to add "enhanced sync" to the Fiji line architecture?

I hope it's possible and it's just a matter of time for driver team to add support.

17.8.2 fixes an annoying Wattman bug with voltages though.
