Nah, I just glued a 80mm fan to a PCI bracket with super glue, and it dropped my GF4 Ti4200's temps a lot. Like said on couple of comments ago, this is kinda a funny product since similar products have been always and ever, and many of us have done a similar DIY solution. :)

Yes these things where 'hot' back in the days, but can you buy a cooler such as this one these days?

These things are fairly useful. I had an old two fan one. My single slot 9800gt would not stay cool, but it did with a product like this one. Later on, a fan broke on my AMD 6950. I zip tied my old two fan one of these onto the 6950 heatsink without the original fans or shroud. It was a wonderful ghetto solution.

Some here might wonder why I didn't get a 9800gt with a better cooler. I did not because I inherited the 9800gt.

OK, enough complaining about using this for VGAs. Probably not really worth in the end.

However if you running RAID controllers or HBAs this is perfect. These cards get really, really mega hot in 3 seconds flat without proper airflow. Sure you can try to watercool them (so I do quite a few), but you void warranty in the process and you're risking that card won't function after waterblock application (I had one such experience when 800$ card went just poof!).

With this I bet you can keep the RoC chip below 50C barrier fairly easily in a simple and tidy way.

Very usefull for cooling 10Gbps PCIe cards and SLI cards which are designed for servers cases airflows and are overheating when installed in desktop cases.

Most of RAID and HBA controlers which are used on servers has no any fan. Same for 10,25,40 and 100Gbps network cards. All these cmponents are cooled efficient in a server case, but when istalled in a desktop case have serius overheating problem because of lower airflow. So this fan cards solve this problem as they blow air directly on the static coolers of these cards . Even more, some GPUs which comes fanlles like GTX-1030 will have some significant benefit from this product for 30 US$.(Same price with two medium quality plastic case fans!!!)
