Cooler Master to Release MasterCase H500P ATX Chassis on October 10th for $149

Cooler Master seems to be gearing up towards launch of their MasterCase H500P ATX Chassis on October 10th, according to a product listing on Newegg. The MasterCase H500P was first pictured during this year's Computex. It's being touted as the successor to Cooler Master's HAF (High AirFlow) cases, boasting of 2x 200 mm fans with RGB lighting as front intakes.

The MasterCase H500P has been stylized with a high quality, 3D-printed exoskeleton look, and features a built-in vertical installation slot for your 2-slot graphics card of choice (which could pose problems due to airflow restriction, though we should reserve judgement for now.) There are cable management covers, a side window made of tempered glass, a PSU shroud, and radiator support stands at 120 mm, 140 mm, 240 mm, 280 mm and 360 mm for the front of the chassis; 120 mm, 140 mm, 240 mm, 280 mm and 360 mm for the top (with a maximum thickness clearance of 55 mm), and a 120 mm or 140 mm radiator on the rear panel. Front ports include 2x USB 3.0/ 2x USB 2.0 and Audio In & Out. The Cooler Master MasterCase H500P ATX Chassis is now available for pre-order from Newegg for $149.

Is it just me or does rotating the graphicscard upright and then pushing its fans out towards the glass make no sense from a cooling-point-of-view!?

Ye I get that we can see the GFX but the airflow is in the sh***er!

Well it does not help the airflow, but does not hurt it either.
The only improvement of airflow would having the air be exhausted out the top like some cases have it positioned.

Manufacturers should make the vertical mount like Phanteks did on their Enthoo Elite. That way the GPU isn't starved for fresh air.

I don't think it's a problem seeing those two 200mm fans.

He means it's not too close to the window and gets normal airflow from the case instead of what's seen here. Still I don't think it's a issue but obviously must be tested.

The airflow around GPU is doubtful for me too. It just look to close to cover. Even if GPU take all the air from the side. I just speek how I am buying cases. But for average user probably doesn't matter at all.

With watercooled graphics I think that's not a problem.

That will be a non-issue. With more than an 1in of space, you saying it will be starved of air?

That will be a non-issue.

I worked with similar cases that has vertical that is much closer to side panel and temps was not affected with good frontal airflow.

It's 2017, not 2012. If you want external bays, they are other cases for you, this one was never meant for your tastes/requirements.

Well I don't like mesh at all so it was basically disqualified for me after I had seen it.

But I have to say it has at least some special mesh not the usual boring one.

I'm very boring, I think. I'll probably buy another Corsair C70 if it ever breaks. I always liked the industrial look of workstations over the years too (be it unix or xeon).
