EK Water Blocks Releases two New Slim Series Kits

EK Water Blocks, the Slovenia-based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer is excited to announce the expansion of the S Kit lineup. Following the recent release of EK-CoolStream SE 140 and EK-CoolStream SE 280 slim radiators, two new kits will also be joining the webshop. Slim Series kits or in short S Kits are a great choice for beginners at liquid cooling and people doing builds with limited radiator space.

EK-KIT S140 and EK-KIT S280 beside the super compatible thin EK-CoolStream SE radiator that they use will also be very suitable for low noise scenarios. As we know, slim radiators benefit from low-speed fans more than the thick ones, and the 140mm fan format only adds additional cooling surface.

EK-KIT S140 and EK-KIT S280 bring the following components:
EK-Supremacy MX UNI - a CPU water block that fits all modern CPU sockets like Intel LGA 115*, Intel LGA 20** and AMD AM4 with a universal mounting mechanism that offers error-preventing, tool-less installation. The result is an easy installation which brings perfect performance every time.

EK-CoolStream SE radiator (EK-CoolStream SE 140 and EK-CoolStream SE 280) - offers best cooling capacity in the 25mm thick radiator class: copper fins provide massive surface area while the parallel flow cooling chambers reduce hydraulic flow resistance to a minimum. EK-XRES 100 SPC MX PWM (incl. pump) - is a value-oriented water cooling pump reservoir combo. EK-DuraClear - 2 meters of the premium quality PVC tubing, guaranteed to be free of plasticizer leaching related issues. It is guaranteed to be free of plasticizer leaching related issues and to have long-lasting clarity. 2 meters of tubing is more than enough for a complete loop and you will be left with enough spare to add more liquid cooling parts or reroute your loop if needed.

EK-CryoFuel Clear - is a specially designed additive for computer liquid cooling systems. aio sucks, either you have to have noise or silence and break em quickly.
I hover around 60 c cpu and they break usually within a year.
on a gpu as a hybrid mod they last like 6 months on a 7970, 290x, 980ti.

currently on an EK waterpump, EK vega block with 2x slim rads (not from ek but aliexpress\ebay kinda deal)
The rads are still way too expensive as single piece, their waterblocks are top quality and good value

Hope it’s not flimsy as vega 64 block.. I had bad experience with ekwb. First block was leaking and second block thread came off :/

Finally i got tired of it and went with XSPC vega block and now it’s at 28c idle and full load 45c at 1700mhz clock +25 power and 1050 for core and 1000 for mem and mem at 1025

That said; I have a ekwb cpu block and that’s really good.

Is the failure rate so high really ? I've never owned an AIO yet, but I am just getting rdy for GPU mod. AIO has been ordered already and on its way.

It really depends, 300W through an AIO is like asking for trouble.
I have friends with 5920's, 7700k's and such without issues.
The gpu's I listed are well... power hungry.
Stay at 250W and below and I'm sure they'll do just fine but for a base 250w+ card I would definitely not recommend it and I have a bunch of the kits laying around to tell their tale.

Wow, you had experience. I will be testing on RX560 - 75W card, just for the hobby, not so much I have trouble with the stock cooler or something. Thanks for the info, it was really useful.
