AMD released the latest version of its Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition drivers. Version 17.10.2 beta fixes a number of bugs, while building on the feature set of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update-exclusive driver update the company put out last week. To begin with, the drivers come with optimization for "Destiny 2," "Assassin's Creed: Origins," and "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus." One can expect performance improvements of a massive 43-50 percent on "Destiny 2," a significant 13-16 percent on "Assassin's Creed: Origins," and 4-8 percent on "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus."

The drivers also introduce an interesting new feature called "GPU Workload," found in Radeon Settings, which lets you instantly switch between two GPU optimization modes: "gaming" and "compute." The drivers can now simultaneously run up to 12 AMD Radeon GPUs on a single machine, making it economical for crypto-coin miners to install more GPUs into fewer machines, saving power and platform costs. The drivers also fix display corruption bugs related to "Player Unknown's Battlegrounds," and a rare game crash with "Hearts of Iron IV." Grab the drivers from the link below.

I'm loving this release. It's allowing HBM oc's past 1105mhz. Practically free performance for a very minimal wattage gain

Go to your local C: drive and install your previous driver, Then just install the 17.10.2 over top the previous driver ;)

nope, that didn't work - wouldn't load windows 10 after reboot, black screen with never ending rotating broken circle.

Can you get into safe mode? Or get into windows? Try going to the control panel and removing the driver in there. Also your on a 64 bios? I think AMD may have placed a block in the drivers for 56's with a 64 bios but they never tell me when I ask. I'd suggest flashing to the vanilla bios and try again and if successful with the driver then flash back. I'll also post to AMD on your matter and get back to you.. it does unfortunally happen on the odd system but so far the unlucky guys had to use a back up image :/

I installed the 17.10.2 driver on my Win7 drive without issue( no problems with the 64 bios on V56) and it appears to have raised the HBM clock speed to above 1100 mhz. I tried 1150 and it worked great and gave some extra performance.
DDU had an update and I tried again on Win 10 but no go - it gave me the same black screen during install.
So, for me, it looks like a Win 10 issue (which doesn't surprise me) and my W10 is fully up to date on Anniversary.

I asked and your 100% right, Its a windows thing and a few testers confirmed so. Even a roll back was busted and sorry but theres a good chance a clean OS install is the only thing that's going to get ya back running :/

Thanks for your reply.
I didn't have any trouble rolling back as I use Acronis True Image. I decided to update to FCU and didn't have any trouble installing 17.10.2 driver then although the extra 50 processes running has got me thinking now.
Funny how it goes on Win 7 ok. and works great too.
