To all the PUBG haters..... You obviously haven't played the game! The END!
i did the beta and a bit after, gets boring pretty fast, just like a f2p game, except that it cost something (oh 31.99chf is not a huge amount but well if i did play on a daily basis rather than a few hour once in a blue moon due to the lack of interest... i would find that adequate) .... it's bland and unappealing and no recent updates did something worth of interest ... nor the gameplay or anything else is unique or innovating

i don't hate it but i don't like it either... i'm just neutral and i can perfectly understand that some like it or some hate it ... tho your post is ... tasteless :D just check the recent reviews on STEAM, those who review it have played it too ... and they pretty much summarize what i think of it

that's a fact hack ruins it ... but that not the cause as it's not that it was exceptional without hack nonetheless.

PUBG is some of the most fun I have ever had playing a multi-player game. The game is fun, really fun. It combines a great mix of strategy with a more ARMA style of combat and controls compared to most FPS games. Throw into the mix the random element of the plane drop and the shrinking, random combat area and you really get a game that is constantly throwing you into new scenarios and forces a much faster pace as the game progresses.

It is no accident that this game is so popular. I have sunk nearly 400 hours into this game, with a number of buddies sinking similar hours and can say without equivocation that this game is fun. It has bugs (it's pre-release, what do you expect?), hackers are a problem (more of an annoyance than a major issue, again what FPS doesn't have this issue?) and movement is a bit on the clunky side (you get used to it, I find it second nature now).

However this game has major replayability. It's fun playing around and trying different strategies. Working out what works and what doesn't in varying situations is really appealing to me. Trying to read the circle and consider where the plane drop would be, how many people are left and where you think they all might be. All makes for a very unique experience that I have never had in another game before.

There is something incredibly satisfying about successfully thinking through a play, predicting how things will unfold and then executing it with a well co-ordinated, communicative team. Even when the plan goes horribly wrong, sometimes you die in hilarious and amusing ways that also bring a wealth of enjoyment.

PUBG's success imo comes in the fact that you don't need to get the chicken dinner to get enjoyment from the game. Sometimes just accidentally running down a squad with a vehicle can make the game illicit more laughs than you get in any other game. For me it's the unpredictability (including the bugs) that make this game fun.

Combined with the fact that a full game takes at most 40 minutes, no pay to win, no leveling systems. Well it's a great thing to pickup and play with friends after work.

Agreed, to each his own. But, here is an example of how cool this game is IMO of course....

I have 210 Game in my Steam account. I've been a member of Steam since 2004. (Yes, I'm old) And PUBG is number 3 in my account of hours played.

The game has a lot of strategy. It's challenging but yet rewarding. It does take time to get good. I am in my 50's don't think I'll ever be good at the game, but even being a decent player, the game never gets old. Again, IMO.

Ive seen it too, and it is in EVERY MP game, cheating... so... nothing new to me.

It's a question of scale. In good games it's more limited, in bad games it's rampant and not fun at all, unless everyone's doing it.

Great post but c'mon the pre-release/ beta excuse for bugs and what have you is old and tired. Dota2 was the same way. Beta for what? 4 years?

I wouldn't say it has a lot of strategy. You just have to learn the choke points on the map - such as the suspension bridge. If for some reason you have to cross it and you're short on time, you're pretty much f'ed. Even if you want to take the low road and try to swim under it, you still get a team that camps the other end, waiting to pick swimmers off by clipping the water so they can shoot under water without any kind of hindrance.

Same with the Military Base, there are a few points folks can hide out there once they get a decent AR and at least a 4x scope. You can pick people off left and right.

If you start on the Military Base and the circle falls on the north side, just hop in a boat (usually find a half dozen on the south side of the Military Base island) and drive around the island. Sure, it may take a few minutes, but it's the safest mode of transportation for leaving the island. Same if you have to cross a river, don't go over the long bridges unless the match has literally just started. Swing wide of the bridge and you might find a boat or simply just swim - rarely will you come into any problems.

Vehicles, pay attention to where you find them when the games first start. You'll eventually learn how to spot vehicles out of place - people like to use them as bait. Also, same with any kind of pile of weapons/ammo/armor on the ground in an odd spot. You learn where things spawn, if something is out of place then it's a good chance you're getting baited.

When you get down tot he last 20-30 people or the last few circles, it doesn't really become anymore strategic. It boils down to a lot of luck on which direction the circle shifts and the coverage you happen to be by. Energy drinks and painkillers will only help you so much once that blue goes over you, so you're constantly forced to move and hope you don't have a cheater in your game because this is where they really shine at the end.

While every game will essentially play out differently, I don't see much strategy playing a part in the game. I see it more as luck based on the spawns you get and the direction the circle moves. If you don't have to move much and can dig in....well, that's boring just waiting for 20-30 minutes as the circle shrinks down to your location and you just have to fend off a few people until the end. If you have to constantly chase the circle, you're moving more and out in the open more and are more likely to die because of it. That's essentially the game in a nutshell.

I think it is pretty clear the the GOTY 2017 will either be Zelda BOTW or Mario Odyssey. Easy Pz. Is one of those years where there are no doubts.

Another reason streamers were leaving was because they didn't like getting banned for bug 'abuse' as hilarious as it was or not.

Benchmark Scores 3050 scores good 15-20% lower than average, despite ASUS's claims that it has uber cooling.
And this my friends, is why PC scene is so broken.

I came from the future just to tell you that in 2025 people still playing LoL, dota, cs, tf2, pubg, minecraft and overwatch on pc, while the other games are still empty 1 month after release.
People play games that they enjoy playing.
Note how this rose from nowhere, no invasive advertisement campaign, basically viral.

Got me a duo chicken dinner last night. :)
I have never won, closet I came was 3rd. However, I haven't played more than 15 hours and I admit I'm not great at the game. Still fun.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I'm terrible at it for the most part. I've only won three chicken dinners, two Duo and one Squad. I have two 2nd place solos and a slew of thirds. I think I have almost 200 hours in total.

From last night... my buddy had 5 kills (heisted my last one on the last guy, LOL!).

Even the popular YTers have ditched this train wreck of a game. The bugs and terrible performance was too much for them. They flipped to the Fortnight game mode copy LOL.

Another reason streamers were leaving was because they didn't like getting banned for bug 'abuse' as hilarious as it was or not.

you misunderstand streamer mentality, they will move to any new game that will the next best thing just to keep audience attention and attendance from dropping off too much. That doesnt make them good streamers, just smart ones.

PUBG would be an awesome game if it didn't look and run like crap and was more fleshed out concept. Its a 4 man teamwork game i would love to play with friends but they have so much money and show so little care about actually fixing the game. So i wont throw my money at it until its polished....probably be dead by than but whatever :/
