EK-MLC Phoenix is a Modular Liquid Cooling line of products and the next generation of improved All-In-One water cooling solutions. It is a new lineup of pre-filled products for liquid cooling, the 2nd generation of improved EK All-In-One products. Created for the market segment of customers who are unwilling to assemble a full custom loop or don't have enough time for maintenance of their PCs, but still insist on a high-end cooling solution. The most important feature of EK-MLC is the modular design and the ability to add multiple pre-filled water blocks in any order.

Modular Liquid Cooling line of products is designed around Quick Disconnect Couplings and it brings a modular approach to connecting and expanding the loop, giving you the freedom to decide which components you want to cool down. CPU cooling module and GPU cooling module can be connected to the radiator core module in any order, separately or together.



The new EK-MLC or Modular Liquid Cooling lineup is bringing the anticipated pump radiator combo as a separate unit. Users will be able to select what kind of water block they want to connect to the radiator combo without draining, filling or spilling a single drop of liquid! All parts of the EK-MLC Phoneix family of products are pre-filled, making them easy to install and are maintenance free. The offer consists of three core modular units: radiator pump combo, unmatched selection of Full Cover GPU water blocks, and CPU water blocks. Buyers will be able to optimize their loop, either with only GPU cooling, only CPU cooling, or both at the same time; GPU and CPU in a single loop. This means the EK is going to offer superior GPU All-In-One liquid cooling solution, something that majority of high-end users are in need of.

Radiator core module
The EK-MLC Phoenix radiator core module is a pre-filled radiator-pump combo. It features high-fin density EK-CoolStream radiator, high-static pressure EK-Vardar EVO fans, and high-quality custom liquid cooling grade SPC water pump. It sets the foundation for efficient and silent PC cooling. The radiator core module is available in many sizes, where the size and number of the fans is the factor of your choice.

This Radiator Core Module provides extreme cooling performance and exceptional build quality. An integrated Fan splitter hub reduces cable clutter and keeps the unit aesthetically clean. The pump and fans plug into the unit itself with only one PWM cable going into CPU Fan socket and while a single SATA Molex cable powers the complete unit. All-around PWM control provides minimal noise profile and performance on demand with the utilization of top-tier EK-Vardar EVO high-static pressure fan and market-proven EK-SCP liquid cooling pump.

The included EK-Vardar EVO fans feature a unique Start-Stop function which ensures the user with a true 0db noise environment.

CPU cooling module
Pre-filled and pre-assembled CPU cooling module water block based on EK-Supremacy series of CPU water blocks, it comes with an error-preventing mounting mechanism which results in a perfect installation and unparalleled cooling performance. Low hydraulic restriction allows this product to work flawlessly with all EK-MLC Phoenix radiator core modules. The CPU cooling module is available in two versions:

EK-MLC Phoenix CPU Module - Intel/AM4 is a pre-filled and pre-assembled CPU cooling module water block designed specifically for the most popular Intel and AMD processors. This includes the support for Intel LGA-1150/1151/1155/1156, Intel LGA-2011(-3) and Intel LGA-2066. As for AMD based platforms, AM4 socket compatibility is assured.

EK-MLC Phoenix CPU Module - TR4 is a pre-filled and pre-assembled CPU cooling module water block designed for HEDT AMD Ryzen Threadripper processor. This CPU cooling module is compatible with AMD SocketTR4 (Socket SP3r2) and AMD Socket SP3 based motherboards.

GPU cooling module
Pre-filled and pre-assembled Full-Cover GPU water block modules are precisely machined to fit the most popular NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards. They are made from high-purity copper, which enables high thermal performance and unlocks your GPU overclocking possibilities.

These water blocks directly cool the GPU, RAM (HBM2), as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water, flows directly over these critical areas thus allowing the graphics card and it's VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. It features a central inlet split-flow cooling engine design for best possible cooling and such a design enables great hydraulic performance to work flawlessly with all EK-MLC radiator core modules. The water block is also equipped with a Rotary Terminal which gives the user unlimited flexibility for loop routing.

Almost all EK-MLC GPU Cooling Module Full Cover water blocks are available in Nickel Plexi and Nickel Acetal versions. The base of the blocks are made of nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of either acrylic- or POM Acetal material. Plexi variants also feature two pre-drilled slots for 3mm LED diodes. Screw-in brass standoffs are pre-installed and allow for safe, painless installation procedure.

The list of compatible EK-MLC GPU cooling modules is being updated every day, and more water block models are expected to become available in the near future.

This costs about $300 for rad and CPU block, add another $230 for GPU block, and you have $530 invested for a single GPU system, which isn't terrible, but has several problems. The convenience of pre-filled with quick disconnects mean that you'll have hoses that are too long and the clunky quick connectors everywhere. You won't have a reservoir, and you won't have any way to visually check your coolant level. Pump built into radiator will limit case compatibility and replacement options. Good concept but needs to be much cheaper to compete with sealed AIOs. For this money, I could build a custom loop that looks and performs better.

I think you completely miss the point of this product.

This is not intended for people that are able to build a custom loop. Its intended for those that want and have the money for a custom loop, but dont have the skills or courage to built it themselves.

Quick connects and a prefilled loop with warranty can provide more people with the performance of the custom loops but with almost the same convenience as an AIO.

Will it suceed? Im not sure, but its good to see them try atleast.

This type of kit is based on swap terminals and they will stop the flow of fluid through its 6 mm axial necks, which should be at least 10 mm. It does not seem that the quantity and the flowed fluid are anywhere to see . CPU block that looks ugly and these plastic fuses do not belong to such a system, they could be metal springs.
The concept is good, and a good streaming would be desirable,This can be repaired with larger clips. The CPU block should be transparent to see the operation and could be more attractive . It is intended for quick assembly, replacement. Ideal for testing and maintenance is also much easier, as after six months, the dust is filled in a PC .

If a person finds something like water cooling challenging, they should leave it alone, and buy a pre-built water cooled system from a boutique builder. If the simple operations of parts selection, clamping, filling, and leak testing are beyond your "skills", you should be afraid, and pay someone with common sense to do the job. A thumb-fingered fool will find a way to screw it up, even with this simple plug-n-play system. I wish them luck selling this, but I predict another fiasco like the Predator series.

yeah but also the time and the maintenance, and the buying of parts, and researching/experimenting. It's a pain in the a**.

I don't know anyone with a serious waterloop that doesnt have a ton of extra parts lying around from the days of experimenting...

That is really bad advice given the inevitable maintenance that any watercooled build will eventually require. Having not built the system yourself or possessing any of the requisite knowledge required to do so would, at some point down the road, leave said owner in a very precarious situation where they could potentially cause irreparable damage to their system.

Aesthetics aisde, the benefits of water over air are negligible unless you are chasing World OC records or demand virtual silence from your PC no matter what task it is performing. No existing AIO can touch a custom loop when it comes to temps or noise levels (and most only offer CPU cooling only, not GPU which then ends up by far the noisiest component), but if the Phoenix offers stellar performance and noise levels for both then it will be a worthy contender. If not, then it's really only the purview of those who aren't comfortable with building a custom loop but still want the quietest system possible and are happy to pay through the nose for it. The question of reliability is definitely hanging over its head though, given the issues with the Predator series, and the fact it only has a 2-year warranty is somewhat concerning.

For anyone else, just stick with air... done right, it's never going to get close to any custom loop or AIO in respect to price/performance ratio.
