EK Water Blocks Announces Fluid Gaming A240R Kit

The EK Fluid Gaming lineup is finally supporting AMD Radeon RX Vega based graphics cards! EK Water Blocks, the Slovenia-based premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer is releasing a new kit, the A240R and the EK-AC Radeon Vega aluminum based full cover water block! The EK-AC Radeon Vega full cover water block brings a pure and minimalistic design for liquid cooling enthusiasts and the same can be said for the EK Fluid Gaming A240R kit. The kit is equipped with an EK-Supremacy AX CPU water block, an evolution of the renowned high-end EKWB water block that brings excellent performance and an attractive appearance! It's a universal water block that suits all modern CPU sockets on the market, both Intel and AMD.

The included EK-AluStream SE radiator offer high-class cooling performance for its thickness of 28mm. Dense aluminum fins combined with a slim profile provide a huge cooling surface, while the radiator remains highly compatible with most cases on the market. AluStream SE radiators are optimized for maximum heat dissipation across the entire operational range of the included high-static pressure EK-Vardar fans which deliver exceptional performance at both low and high RPM operation.



We must not forget to mention the enclosed SPC series PWM liquid cooling pump with an integrated reservoir. This combo offers premium hydraulic performance and full speed control for silent operation. Full performance on demand or whisper-quiet operation in idle mode. To complete the full custom loop, the kit comes with EK-ACF ALU fittings, EK-DuraClear transparent tubing, the latest EK-CryoFuel coolant, Power and PWM cables, a pump holder bracket and a detailed installation booklet. Something like half price vs completely custom, about $150 savings or so vs their slim kit plus getting a gpu block and extra fittings.

Half the price? I would have to see a review. Copper vs alum is terms of cooling used to be major. I don't know how they would have overcome that hurdle either.

I would rather run a AIO or save my money and build a custom loop and do it right with all copper components.

It does, but TBH 99% of the major horror stories involving mixed copper/alu loops involved some numpty using tap water. With quality corrosion inhibiting coolant it was never really an issue (can personally attest to this).

These days the "specialist fluids" that have sprung up to relieve people of their money mostly have corrosion inhibitors so even without the warnings you would get less cowboys wrecking their loop.

The attraction is it's much cheaper, performs almost the same (unless you're going for super high overclocks it will be within a few degrees) and is easier to build (lighter).

CPU blocks are < half the price of copper/nickel, GPU blocks ~2/3 the price, radiators are noticeably cheaper (can get a 360 with fittings and three Vardar fans for almost the same as a normal 360 rad alone).

Got mine yesterday, but was missing the backplate for the gpu. Now in RMA :-/
