Shuttle Computer Group, Inc., one of the world's leading designers of small form computers, announces a new and powerful cube-sized computer, its SZ270R9, designed for advanced home and portable gaming, along with virtual reality applications. Unlike other PCs, once set, users can overclock with the Turbo button for the quickest, most realistic action. In spite of its small size, it has an impressive expansion capability and storage capacity. With lots of interior space, the SZ270R9 supports large-format dual-slot graphics cards; users can install up to four 2.5" or 3.5" hard drives and two m.2 bays. It also supports Intel's new Optane Memory to improve data processing and system speed.

"This is the ultimate gaming PC, power packed with an external design that looks like you're ready for battle," said Robert Garcia, channel manager, Shuttle Computer Group. "And when you press the overclock button, watch out! You'll be the winner for sure."

The SZ270R9 has a stylish, reinforced aluminum chassis with an exciting lightning bolt design that includes customizable LED lights that "breathe" when the computer is in use. Six default colors, three different light effects, and an RGB pallet bar means users can easily personalize their gaming experience. With two vertical USB 3.0 ports and an audio jack on the front, gamers can plug in their headsets or other peripherals while keeping cords organized.

In a market first, Shuttle's new SZ270R9 has a Turbo button on its top of the front panel. Users don't need to set complex overclocking parameters through the BIOS every time they play; they simply press the turbo button, which automatically loads their optimized overclocking configuration quickly and easily.

With wide range support of Intel Core processors, the SZ270R9 also features smooth 4K UHD video playback and offers power efficiency, high bandwidth 1.2V DDR4 2133/2400 memory support up to 64GB max capacity.

Configured with four copper tube-pipes, Shuttle's patented I.C.E 2 heat-pipe technology uses convection cooling to dissipate heat away from and around the CPU while operating at the sound of a whisper.

The SZ270R9 comes with a three-year limited warranty and is available through ASI, Ingram Micro, Ma Labs, Synnex, Synnex CA and online at Amazon, CDW, Connection, PC Mall, Provantage and Newegg.

Oh look, a 10+ year old CPU cooling setup...
Shuttle isn't really relevant as a company any more, although their systems are kind of neat size, but this thing looks horrid imho.
Also, isn't it a bit late in the game to launch a Z270 chipset based board now?

totally. Shuttle had the SFF market cornered for a long time and got fat and lazy in R&D. their ICE system is antiquated and doesn't really feature anything new to improve thermals especially with todays low TDP CPU generations.

...But they do have the only claim to a modern mini-dtx board, first to do a sub matx board for HEDT (x79).

If only they sold the boards without the antiquated chassis :(

Wow no kidding that's the exact same cooling setup I had in an old 1155 box! Such a low effort product, they couldn't even be bothered to powder coat the recycled case.

Actually, their boards are using a custom form factor, as they're too deep to be mini-DTX, as that's simply a wider mini-ITX boards with an additional slot. I like the two slot option, but they need to come up with something nicer than what they've been offering for the past 10-15 years...
