COLORFUL CGU APAC 2017: Glory to eSports
The COLORFUL GAMES UNION (CGU) esports competition this year will be hosted in Wuhan, China. I assume the name means this has entirely random clock speeds, fan speeds, cores, VRAM and everything else? Would make the silicon lottery more tangible for sure - you might get a high clocked 1080Ti, you might get a card with the same number of CUDA cores as a 1050, but with 24GB VRAM and clocks so high it toasts itself instantly when powered on, you might get a Titan V locked to 100MHz with constant 100% fan speeds. If they actually implemented an RNG in production, that would be epic.
