Phanteks at its 2018 International CES booth treated us with a big selection of new wares, beginning with the new Revolt X and Revolt Pro power-supply series. The Revolt X model on display is 1200W (model: PH-P1200PS). Revolt X are high-end, fully-modular PSUs, with cabling to power two individual systems. You get two 24-pin ATX cables, three 8-pin EPS, and a total of eight 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors. You also get a total of eight SATA power, three Molex, and one Berg. The power supply turns on when either of the two 24-pin connector shorts the power cable, and turns off when neither of the two is drawing power, so you get the freedom to use two individual machines within one case.

Under the hood, the Revolt X features a single +12V rail design, with a single 100A rail. The unit boasts of 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, micro-tolerance load regulation, a hybrid fan control (fan stays off below a temperature threshold); active PFC, and most common electrical protections, against over/under voltage, overload, short-circuit, and overheat. The Revolt Pro is the antithesis of the idea behind the Revolt X. While the Revolt X is designed to power two individual machines within one box, the Revolt Pro is designed to work in teams of two to power one machine, for redundancy and power output increase. You power two machines with one Revolt X (convenience, less clutter), while you power one machine with two Revolt Pro's (redundancy, more power).

The Revolt Pro is a fully-modular PSU that comes in 850W and 1000W variants. You ideally either buy them in pairs, or buy one of them and plug your existing PSU's 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connectors to the "inputs" of this PSU, connecting your hardware to the "outputs" of both the PSUs. Inputs include one 24-pin ATX and an 8-pin EPS. The input cables are simply to time the power states of both the PSUs. Both models feature single +12V rail designs, 80 Plus Gold efficiency, APFC, most common electrical protections; and the same connector load-out - one 24-pin ATX, two 4+4 pin EPS, eight 6+2 pin PCIe, a total of 16 SATA power connectors, three Molex and a Berg.

The Revolt X 1200W is expected to be priced at USD $259.99, while the Revolt Pro 850W and 1000W variants will go for $129.99 and $159.99, respectively.
