AOC Intros AGON AG352UCG6 35-inch Curved Ultrawide Gaming Monitor

AOC today introduced the AGON AG352UCG6, a 35-inch curved ultrawide gaming monitor. Featuring an 1800R curvature and 21:9 ultrawide aspect-ratio, the monitor offers WideQHD (3440 x 1440 pixels) resolution, with 120 Hz refresh-rate, and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC. Its AMVA panel offers 178°/178° viewing angles. Display inputs include DisplayPort 1.2, and HDMI 1.4. Among its gamer-centric features are genre-specific display presets, headset stand, rear RGB LED diffusers that either work as mood-lighting or whatever you set them to do, a 200-step gray levels saturation setting (think Adobe Photoshop levels control built into your monitor); and a headset mount.

I would expect a UW4kHD resolution, but only LG is offering it, it's a gaming monitor ,another in a series of good offers.

I would expect a UW4kHD resolution, but only LG is offering it, it's a gaming monitor ,another in a series of good offers. My ENVY 34c start burning while playing really started a fire during the game., so I do not have any more interest in buying HP .

The LG in my sig is awesome. Only 75hz but with an AMD Vega 64 smooth as butter. If prices level out, I'm selling my 1070 Ti and going back to the red team, the 1070 just ain't smooth without turning V-Sync off and even then, no comparison to Free sync.

Acer has a model using the panel for a little less.
Just search for 3840x1600 and you will find all the panels sporting it.

I am split between 75hz 4k ultrawide and 100-144hz wqhd (3440 x 1440)

3840x1600 is not standardized resolution, I would worried about support, cause even wsgf.org mods are mostly hexhacks. I'm definitely buying 1st 120-144hz 3440x1440 IPS that I'll came across.

"UW4K is the ultra-wide 4K standard, with a resolution of 3840 × 1600, and an aspect ratio of 12:5 (2.4:1, or 21.6:9) This resolution is most commonly used on Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, and PC gaming monitors."

Maybe you are right, for me its just 4K without BlackBars, which I have never seen anywhere used yet.

Yeah the cheaper AOC monitors have issues, the ones that had TN panels are some of the worst for image quality, especially the 27"+ models with 1080p that make everything look even worse, at least they're cheap. (I have one of those, but I forget what everything looks like on it after being away on holiday)

I wonder where AOC gets their IPS panels though, especially the ones for the ultrawides. People on some sites are complaining either about the damaged product or backlight bleed.

My dream monitor is 3440x1440, 100Hz+, 34-35". But I am not ready to buy one of those cheaper ones simply because of reviews. I have never gotten a monitor with dead pixels before (some even make weird noises), but it seems more common on bigger ultrawide monitors. And Amazon/Manufacturers won't refund/RMA sometimes doesn't work out.

Shelving out 200+ more for a better guarantee it won't have issues is a hard choice.

also via. https://www.techpowerup.com/241782/au-ooptronics-to-begin-shipping-8k-tv-panels-in-1h18 it seems after 2560x1080 and 3440x1440 we will get 5K standard. hopefully.
