BenQ announced a new entry to its monitor lineup under the model name EX3203R. It sports a 31.5" VA panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution, and can display frames at up to 144 Hz refresh rates. The slight 1800R curvature is expected to keep all points of the monitor at the same distance from users' eyes. AMD's FreeSync 2 technology is also being employed here, making this a more attractive proposition for gaming scenarios. Since this is FreeSync 2 we're talking about, the effective FreeSync range should be quite high, since support for LFC (Low Frame-Rate Compensation) is an essential part of the certification.

Like most BenQ (and other brands') monitors, BenQ is touting this panel as HDR-compatible, and sporting a HDR-specific luminance mode that achieves a top 400 cd/m² luminance - the basest of the base values allowed by AMD for HDR compatibility. Non-HDR content, however, will default to a top 300 cd/m² luminance. BenQ is quoting 90% DCI-P3 coverage. Connectivity options include 2x HDMI 1.4 ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.2a, 2x USB 3.1 ports, and 1x USB Type-C port. Pricing hasn't been announced at time of writing.

I quite like HDR and large, high-refresh monitors, especially WQHD ones, so this could be the monitor for me! Benq generally is quite cheap, but freesync 2 and those specs make it at risk of costing quite a lot, even though it isn't even that special. At least it has some non-HDR competition which should help keep its price down.

Vega 64 red devil is just 720 euros in germany and vega 64 strix oc is just 730 euros in Holland. I'm sure you'll be able to find something somewhere since even in the US prices seem to be dropping.

I'll wait for 34/35 Ultrawide 1440p minimum, HDR, FS2 with 120Hz minimum top range, IPS, 90%+ AdobeRGB + DCI-P3, HDR10 (600nits) minimum with DolbyVision 1000nits better.. and cost is less than $1000.. I think we will wait for 2 years for these things to come...

I am pretty certain the same panel is found in the AOC Agon AG322QCX. My brother has that monitor, it was 700 USD here in Norway, but it is a fairly nice monitor.

This sounds pretty perfect, I was looking for a nice 2k high refresh rate monitor last week but it didn't seem like there was a ton of choice out there (on Amazon anyway). I ended up buying a Samsung 4k monitor to use for the time being (had a super low price tag after a bunch of discounts), but I'm still on the lookout for sure. Most of the time I'm at my PC I'm in VR, but I've been trying to get myself to play some flat screen stuff again to go through the pile I've had sitting there since I got my first VR headset in 2016 lol.

I'm super late to the party, but holy hell is Rise of the Tomb Raider a fantastic game lol!!! (I'm still playing it in 2k on my 4k monitor so I can have everything turned up to Very High and maintain 60fps)

I thought we already had more than enough Freesync monitors.

There will be never enough, as long as Nvidia charges for its Gsync you will see an abundace, even a plethora of Freesync monitors.

Not to mention this is a FS2 monitor. So better latency, HDR support and I believe lower min FPS requirement.
