Cooler Master has introduced the K500L case, the first in their new MasterBox K-Series lineup. The design philosophy of the K lineup, and the masterBox K500L in particular, speaks of illuminated accents, fine mesh that Cooler Master says is 3D in the way it accents and cuts the red lighting (that emphasizes "gaming") across the case - all without breaking the wallet.

Space is considerable, but not vast; there's support for up to 400mm of graphics cards, up to 6x 120 mm fans, front (240 mm) and rear (120 mm) water cooling support, up to 180 mm power supplies and up to 160 mm tower coolers, which should be enough for the vast majority of solutions in the market. There are also two lighted accents on each side of the front panel mesh, which extend the glow of the pre-installed red LED fans and power button.

  • Efficient Thermal Performance: A partial meshed front panel and ventilation holes on top of the case give your parts fresh air to breathe.
  • Lighting Effects: Stand out and be unique through LED strip in front. Your case will never be unremarkable.
  • Versatile Cooling Options: Support for up to six 120mm fans and front and rear liquid cooling ensure you don't have to compromise on performance.
  • Graphics Card Support Up To 400mm: Supports the latest, widest cards you can get.
  • Stay Black, Stay Neat: Let your system stand out with a full black coating and PSU cover.
  • Cable Management: The PSU cover and 19mm width space behind the mainboard tray gives you plenty of cable management options to keep your build nice and clean.

Pricing & Availability
The MasterBox K500L will be available for 59 Euro / 65 USD / £54.99 MSRP Inc. VAT

wheres the practical cases at ? I still use my antec sx630II to this day . nothing fancy and built like a tank - I guess now them open tops of the cases is to help crap fall straight I to it ? hope you don't spill a drink and it pores down on to the motherboard and all inside

'', up to 6x 120 mm fans '' why ? aint todays hardware so power efficient and all you see claimed heat should not be a factor as it was back in the power wasting days and not a s fancy coolers like on todays GPU's

i'll say it again '' its all about gimmicks and hype over practical use ,service and support ''

'' Lighting Effects: Stand out and be unique through LED strip in front. Your case will never be unremarkable'

so what mine is unremarkable but then its what my build puts on the display is what I look at not the disco tech going on in a case ..lol... [maybe the next strong selling point could be when the led's are in full swing the case or parts play 1970 bee gee's or disco duck in a loop ? ]

funny to me how they still use thumb screws like a 20 buck case instead of hinges and latches that can lock like a top end case for the side door . heck my 18 year old antec gave me that and heavy steel built like a tank

These case with open tops let dust in.
And these cases with buttons and ports on top
let dust in to mess things up.

Just pointing out some "other features".

I like the Antec sx63011, a pair of these would make great jack stands when it's time for a lube job on the old Model T.

Benchmark Scores well I've fried a 775' P4 12 years ago, that counts?
people blame others brands to copy ideas, come with boring and repeated designs, then a brand makes or launches a quite different case, people then point fingers to it, hate it and compare to old junk models, thats the market for 2018, nice!

Actually i like the case interior, design is different, is practical! case front needs more evaluation for airflow and dust protection. but well played CM!

Top and bottom, which is more than enough for average use.
I have a similar Mastercase with acrylic front that crunches all day, and never gets close to being hot.

That's what I thought too. I suggested my friend to get the MasterBox Pro 5 (somewhat similar front intake design to the Masterbox K) and his temperatures were abysmal. CPU temps were 75C with front cover on and 60C without front cover on. I'd suggest looking up some airflow tests of the MasterBox Pro 5. It's truly abysmal and surprising given the great reviews.
