ASRock Comments on Phantom Gaming Series Graphics Cards Availability

A leading global motherboard and graphics card manufacturer, ASRock, announced entering the graphics card market with the Phantom Gaming range - a strong line up of AMD Radeon RX 500 series graphics card in April 2018. Initially, ASRock will roll out graphics card business in various regions based on internal planning. Regions with first priorities are APEC and Latin America. Then ASRock will gradually launch the business in other regions. Thanks for all media friends recently putting attention on our Phantom Gaming graphic card business and giving them massive coverages.

seeing the U.S.A / north America / EU is the strongest markets, why there to get the ball rolling and money coming in ? sound more like AMD keeping them out of stronger markets to help prevent then from steeping on there old partners toes ? that's kinda like open a car dealership in a strong Amish community ..lol.... you not going to do well or make money

at today card prices I cant see a lot selling in in say Chile heck even Mexico . maybe china ? but how I assume in china a vid card is easy to get seeing how there manufactured there and knock offs out the factories back door and so on heck go to china amazon [aliababa ? ] and get a lot of gtx 950s for 50 bucks a pop under no brand . then cheaper black markets .

maybe they have no confidence in there vid card products and cant take a chance in a strong market place ., but sound more like AMD has put restrictions on them to protect the old partners interests [ ? ]

This is AMD trying to be bullish and protect what few partners they have from a new competitor. Which is very, very dumb on AMDs part, as they have no leverage right now. Also interesting that nvidia's GPP was torn to shreds, but AMD actively blocking cards from being sold is being swept under the rug.

AMD is protecting brands from a new competitor that might make them look bad, super anti-consumer, and very short sighted considering the big brands give AMD the scraps now, and nvidia's new gen is coming soon. AMD needs to be building relations with OEMs, not blocking them.

you would think with the miner market a new comer like asrock would want to hit all the strong markets and cash in quick . not drag out there start up overhead costs fiddling around in latin America
or some 3ed world area

ASRock's main reason to join the market was mining. Which is the strongest in Asia. Of course they want to focus there. Also the minimum order of their cards starting at 500pcs.

Seriously dude, even if we were to assume that this is really all AMD's fault, how is it anywhere even close to the NV GPP level of bullshit? The level of impact is bloody incomparable.

well I just thought to do business there to start where the most blackmarket / knockoff/ no brand / slipped out the factory back door cards are available cheap and easy seems like a name brand would be a hard sell at any retail prices [just opinion on that ] what can they expect ?
