One word : RIDICULOUS !!!

Litle do i care if your name is Gates , Bezos , Musk or whatever but paying 2K $ when you can find Predator 4K IPS GSync 60HZ for less than 700$ is nothing short of a SCAM .... 1300$ premium for 144Hz and HDR .....

While it is mesmerisingly expensive, you don't understand the limitations and costs of 60Hz+ and HDR displays. 4k @ 144Hz requires some magic, so many pixels refreshing at such a fast rate. Likewise, HDR, local dimming zones and high peak brightness require an uplift in technology. As much as I love my 4k Gsync display, I'll guarantee, this monitor will make it look prehistoric.

But yeah, way too pricey for now.

While an enormous leap in technology, it would seem that the problems which delayed the release from 2017 till no are not all ironed out. I don't doiubt that the one which clear QC will be astonding but I suspect yield rates are still too low to get prices down below $1500. At $1,200 it will start to sell in decent quantities as long as a powerful GFX card is available to drive it w/o needing SLI. Until then the best available gaming experience at a decent price will remain the the two 165 Hz, 27" 1440p models w/ G-Sync and ULMB. As for 4k at 60 Hz, ythat's just fine for the movie collectors, but not for gaming.

I 100% agree but it's not just 144Hz and HDR difference. 60Hz monitors are easy to make, every LCD monitor have been 60Hz. 144Hz @ 4K is hard and a new tech. HDR with Quantum Dots tech is new. Most other "HDR" certified monitors can't do above 600nits (HDR600). 10-bit color, etc, etc. Still $2000 is a rip off.

What a joke pricing for a monitor in this size. Wonder what the 32-35" versions will cost. Maybe around 3000$?

I'm curious what the Freesync versions will cost. Pretty sure many hundred bucks cheaper.

Beware guys, these panels aren't actually 10bit, so they're not truly HDR.

good that finally these (with asus) hit the market... I do not care about price, because I will never buy and pay for the early adopters bragging rights anyway. but there are people that will buy and have those "rights"... and that only means that after year or two (probably more knowing how all tech has slow down in past few years), there will be next models with 1/2 price... and I would want to have 4K120fps (and maybe even then will be single gpu that can push those frames in AAA games).

Give me same specs but 1440p at reasonable price. 4k at this refresh rate is beyond stupid-expensive to run right now anyway.

Monitors exceeded necessary brightness a long time ago. Tell me about its minimum black and contrast. Also, I've purchased $800, $1200, and $2400 screens. I don't see myself ever spending over $1000 on a "small" computer screen ever again.

I wouldn't expect a Ferrari product, the quality control with AUO's WQHD panels was terrible.

Edit: 4:2:2 to achieve 144hz? Throw this in the trash .

That's true of most backlit LED screens. You really need OLED to eliminate halos.

Fald and zones are suppose to minimize the effect especially if you have 384 zones. They are comparisons on 4K HDR TVs with far less zones on all black on the net. Ranging from budget 500 and up
