Cooler Master has unveiled a concept version of the renown Hyper 212 CPU cooler. The new iteration has been improved in various aspects to provide better cooling performance. The size of the cooling fins has been extended considerably, which represents a 25 percent increase over the previous Hyper 212 EVO. The concept Hyper 212 will also come with five heatpipes instead of four. Despite all the physical modifications, Cooler Master has assured us that memory clearance won't be an issue. On an aesthetic level, the manufacturer has implanted its RGB-illuminated logo on the new air cooler to sync with the included Cooler Master RGB fan.

Hey, CM.
Do you know why the oroginal 212s were successful? Oh, it does not seem like you do.
I'll remind you.

There were no BS tower coolers. No fine painting, no delicate covers, no LEDs and RGBs
Simple, U-shaped, heatpipes, alu-fins, stick-a-fan with simple mounting.
Nicely flat the the bottom, good direct heat transfer, that's it.
Save us those extra costs, return the 212 to its former glory.

I still have the EVO. It cools my 3770K @4,5GHz just fine.

Not sure they will manage to impress me with a new version that has frigging LEDs. EVO is all about price : performance ratio.

We´re living in times where posing is mistaken with quality.
In old time we said trash-posing or trash-tuning to this sort of stuff, it was just for fun to annoy people by spending time in making trash "chic".

But now it is everywhere and its getting normal, sadly.
I´m more of a sleeper fan. Suprising people, never see what will hit them.

If everyone does trash-posing, i stick with sleeper-hardware.

RGB doesn't matter, Increased fin area and 1 extra heat pipe might cool a little better, but the important upgrade should be to the terrible mounting system, which has generated thousands of complaints over the years. The first time I mounted one, I had the x-bracket backwards (instructions not at all clear). My system wouldn't even boot! I had to go back over the tiny incomprehensible pictograph instruction sheet with a magnifying glass before I figured out where I went wrong. Once it was mounted right, it worked fine, and cooled great for a $35 cooler. But I was a little mad when I thought about how it could have permanently damaged my CPU or socket - the backwards bracket was causing way too much pressure on the CPU. Hopefully they have changed this.

I don't understand any of the weird words/expressions. I guess that's some obscure slang you're using? Could you explain to non-english person please?
