Uhm Elitebooks have always been quite good. Probooks ain't that bad either. It's their cheap crappy consumer lines(plastic pavilions etc.), which have always been bad. But that is the case of every other vendor too.

Not all. Most of their probooks and elitebooks are unkillable (except for a few 1st gen Core and Phenom/Turion Probooks with 215-0752001 IGP onboard, aka Radeon HD4200 series).
Even their latest Envy x360 and Pavilion Power series are excellent.

We have elitebook 745's here at work. They're god awful.

I personally owned an HP laptop that I got from Circuit City back when they were a thing in the US. I dont recall th emodel of that laptop, but it would overheat so badly even on a glass table. I ended up selling it. Luckily for more than what I paid for it

I guess I should've narrowed down the "good" HP to anything Intel-based. They only got the "fame and glory" because they were the first ones to f%#ck up on AMD FX mobile.
Anything built on AMD in those years(2010-2016) was awful, not just HP.
Heck, I should probably share some pics of my collection of dead AMD APUs from those years...

Seems like a nice x360 for the low end.
I can speak only about 1030 G2 x360 (top of the line) - that thing is gorgeous.

HP business class laptops are anything but shit. Consumer ones, well, it varies.

Actually was surprised to see that price point. Competition seems to be working after all. Yay!

I just grabbed a touchscreen HP chromebook for $159, will be nice to prop it up on my bed and play hearthstone on it when I get tired of holding my phone.
