Oh god, so we have to see wannabe Captain Kirk trying to convince us with the help of his roguish leather jacket, that his nasty company does actually love us, and is all about the gamers, and is finally going to give us some stale, rehashed crumbs from the table, all for a very, very steep price of course, because... We are gamers too.

Prepare to see the industry's highest ever single GPU prices, for the gamers.

Except it's only Ti/Titan cards that have no competitor, so, yeah, thanks for reiterating the FUD.

About that FUD, let's ask newegg:
- Vega 64: 4 models in stock, priced between $579 and $599; GTX 1080: about 50 models in stock, starting from $499.99
- Vega 56: 8 models in stock, priced between $479 and $607; GTX 1070Ti: 24 models in stock, priced from $449 to $699; GTX 1070: 44 models in stock, starting from $419

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
No, good 200+ cheaper, not counting 200 for an adaptive sync monitor..
my country pricing overrule yours ;) (well ... even if i could get one, from another country, close to the fabled unicorn that the MSRP is ... shipping and custom taxes would bring it up to my own country pricing x) )

Vega 64 = 1080Ti pricing and that's in the 700-800(900 sometime)$ range (actual conversion price ~ +/- )

I too am seeing these prices AND plenty of availability as well. I can’t speak for the rest of the markets, but in the U.S. at least, prices have returned almost to normalcy.

Well, except for some things we actually know, everything is speculation.

What we do know is that Nvidia will release a "volta based" GPU family, at TSMC "12nm", and that we're in the launch window. "GV102" and "GV104" was taped out before last summer, but we don't know when they went into mass production and if both did.

Anyone claiming to know clocks, actual TDP, etc. are just wildly guessing, even Nvidia doesn't know this until shortly before the launch.

But, with GPUs being Volta based, we know how Nvidia can cut down the chips:

You ask newegg, whether AMD has competitive products in a given perf range? Makes sense.
Don't forget to ask mindfactory de.
All that surely makes sense in the context of "when will AMD deliver a competitive product".

Apparently you missed the point. The statement was a response to the assertion that prices had not gone down much. The Newegg link was to show that prices, at least in the U.S. are almost back to normal. Are you still misunderstanding?

You missed the point, too: he always misses the point when we don't paint AMD in rosy colors. And goes on changing the subject. Or goes on rambling.
