TechPowerUp today released a major update to GPU-Z, our graphics sub-system information, monitoring, and diagnostic utility that no PC enthusiast can leave home without. Version 2.10.0 introduces a slew of changes. To begin with, we have added CPU temperature monitoring, supported on all Intel processors 2nd generation Core and newer; and AMD Ryzen. The graph drawing code for the "Sensors" tab has been improved for faster rendering and reduced CPU usage. The "Reset" button in this tab can be used to clear all graphs with a click. Various under the hood improvements work to avoid error messages with Query External. GPU-Z now reports Override limits on the ATI/AMD BIOS Advanced view page.

Support has been added for the GDDR6 memory type. Among the new GPUs supported are AMD Vega M GH, Vega M GL, WX 4130, WX 4150, WX 8100, Radeon Pro Vega 56, Pro SSG; AMD Vega Graphics in Ryzen 3 2200U, Ryzen 3 2300U, Ryzen 3 Pro 2200GE, Ryzen 5 2400GE, Ryzen 7 2400U; Intel UHD 605, UHD 610, UHD 630, P580; NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB, GTX 1050 3 GB, GTX 1050 2 GB (GP106), GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q, MX110, MX130, GTX 750 Ti (GM107B); Quadro GV100, P600 Mobile, P620, P2000, P3200, P4200, Grid M3-3020; and Tesla V100, V100-PCIE-32GB, M4, P106-090, P5200, P6, P40, P100 SXM2, P100 PCIe 12 GB.

These was an issue in the previous version of GPU-Z where saving the BIOS of my GTX 780 TI MATRIX by asus would lock the PC and completely freeze it.
I wonder if this one does it as well. I used Kepler tweaker to extract the bios successfully

Didn't see any report for it. Can you give it another try?

Could you add an OpenGL tab on advanced?
There's so many extensions and caps, I'm not sure which are relevant. Are you an OGL developer by any chance? To provide insight

Sadly not, but an OpenGL version and GLSL version could be nice. For example AMD right now on GCN1.0 has OpenGL 4.6 support, only 4.50 on GLSL (not up to date) and nothing on OpenGL ES (while both Intel and Nvidia has 3.2).
Having all the extensions listed makes searching for support on an specific one easier, and I like GPU-Z more than GPUCapsViewer.

My brother works on the Switch emulator Ryujinx, and as its currently OpenGL only, having to work for various drivers, implementations and missing extensions is kind of a pain.

Cool, the CPU monitoring is a nice addition. I can now run GPU-Z and monitor both CPU and GPU temps which is nice.

Would be nice if there was an option to specify timeline length for the graphs with timestamps and ability to scroll the entire specified timeline. Currently, if you want to achieve that, you need to maximize the GPU-Z window to see the graph. So in the end, the size of screen is what limits you which can be a bit annoying...

This has been on my mind for a while, but not sure how to solve it UI wise. If you have ideas, start a new thread in the GPU-Z forum

@RejZoR Good to see I am not the only one looking for that (and keeping the graphs when switching between GPUs). I just posted about it in another thread the other day.

Please put a link here when you start the new thread about it. :)

might be better to try GPUCaps Viewer you'll get both OpenGL and OpenCL support which can be grabbed from here http://www.geeks3d.com/20180515/gpu-caps-viewer-1-39-0-released/

I think I already have a rough idea how it could be done. I don't have multi GPU so I don't know how the menu looks like in that case. Can you post it please? So I can make a mockup of GUI design based on that if GPU switching is also a problem for graphs. I'll let you know when I'll post it in GPU-Z section.

The GUI is identical, you just pick the GPU in a drop down at the bottom left where the GPU model is shown. The entire sensor graph is overwritten when you switch between them.

And memory usage. This way you can basically entirely monitor what's happening with the system at every given time which can be great for figuring out problems because you just look in vertical line and you instantly see what was going on at that time with all components.

@nemesis.ie
Got it. I always had just 1 card so I never paid much attention to that dropdown menu.

Just out of curiosity, how does GPUZ handle the first gen ryzen X chips with their 20C offset temperatures?

CPU temp ... nice ... don't really know which of the many temp it is but now I know what I do on the weekend^^

Funny side note:
My overkill secured tier 0+ network think the file is that bad, that it won't even tell me why I can't download it.
( e.g. with 2.9.0 everything is still good. ;)

One would assume it's taking offset into account and displaying correct value. You just basically add +20 to the read sensor value and display it to the user.

The CPU temp reported by GPU-Z is about 8-9 degrees higher than what Core Temp gives me. I'm running an i7-7820X@ 4.7Ghz. Core Temp gives me idle readings of about 31C, whereas GPU-Z is telling me 40C.

Is anyone else noticing this on X299 platforms?

Will cpu temp monitored in GPU-Z be motherboard-reported cpu temp or hottest core (package)?
Thanks for the update.
