Previous instance:

Then the new "11-series 1080" called a 1180+ sets a new price point, if that's what's happening here. Or maybe 1180+ just refers to custom non-FE models.

wccftech rumors that "While naming convention is not confirmed at this point we do know one thing for sure: NVIDIA does not plan to align the 120W next-gen Turing series GPU with the GTX 1060 at all and will charge accordingly" ... I may be right about the model shuffle, and building up prices on top of the 10-series this next generation instead of replacing.
