NVIDIA, via its UK storefront, has launched new graphics card bundles - bundles that come with a free Kingston SSD. The offer doesn't stretch through the entirety of the lineup, and is restricted to the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and 1060 - likely the top volume offerings NVIDIA has right now. The offered SSDs are all part of Kingston's A400 value lineup, and the offered capacities range from 120 GB (in the majority of the models) through to 240 GB.

The small capacity SSDs being bundled with these mid range graphics cards also makes sense due to the market these are usually aimed at: casual, price/performance, budget customers, who may not have the funds to spare on an SSD upgrade. So while NVIDIA helps move some more graphics card units (maybe for an eventual, hypothetical, upcoming next-gen 1100 series release?), it only offers SSDs to the market that is more likely to require them for their systems.

"Awesome" deals you guys.
1050Ti start at 170 Eur and kingston SSD 120GB costs a whooping 29 Eur.

Average Joe thinks: well i have spent so much (170) on a mid-range graphics card, i sure don't have money for low-end SSD now.
But, looking at these awesome deals this average Joe will certainly get tempted and will buy it, because it says you get free SSD. wow.
The promo 1050Ti now costs 183GBP, which is 205Eur.

Some miracle happened, the card that cost 170Eur suddenly costs 205Eur after adding in FREE SSD.

tsk stop being such a troublemaker! Look on the positive side instead! :p

But seriously, NVIDIA should just make a permanent and significant price drop on all their 10xx series cards now instead of playing around with gimmicks.

It will 100% not be on 10nm. As for 7, i doubt it. Not enough volume from tsmc for mass production. Unless something changed in their roadmap. Or it will be on 7nm and in extremely low volume ie. shortage in the card market..

These kind of 'offers' have been on for a week or so here in the UK.

Not a bad deal though it would be a lot more enticing if they gave folks the choice of an SSD or a game such as Rainbow SiX Seige

I play this all the time with my friends, very addictive. It has to be on the PlayStation platform though, but we can't have everything, lol.
Off topic, but had to be said. :D

Its one of these cheapest ones, maybe because us are now in big dept, huge unemployment, dollar is worthless, that's why there product prices go up.

This sounds like a good idea, but it's not a good price. I think the marketing department has been told to get rid of that huge stockpile of unsold cards - without cutting prices. I bet that Kingston has a large stockpile of these painfully slow and mostly useless 120GB SSDs, probably A400s - I have a brand new one in a drawer that might never be used. NVIDIA probably gets them for $10 each (I've seen them on sale for $25). When this doesn't work, then they'll drop the price for real, and give up on this con game. The 240s are at least big enough to be used for a game drive, maybe, but very slow for a boot drive.

GPU + SSD for the price of one may not be up to a certain individual's taste, but for folks who are looking for a good upgrade OR building a new PC from the ground up, this is a decent deal.

I don't personally think either of those components are a GOOD upgrade. They're okay backups but that's about it for me.

If you want to clear the stock, drop the darn price below (I mean well below, it's been 2 years FFS) MSRP.
I just can't wrap my head around paying for any GPUs now whenever I recalled I paid only $299 CAD for my still rocking RX 480 at launch.
