MyDigitalSSD must have began rethinking their BPX Pro SSD lineup's pricing as soon as they entered the market. A mere three weeks later, the company has announced an up to 25% price cut on its lineup, ranging from your choice of 240 GB ($99.99 originally, now $74.99), 480 GB ($149.99 originally, now $129.99), 960 GB ($279.99 originally, now $259.99) and 1920 GB ($599.99 originally, will be available later at $569.99) capacities.

As a reminder, the MyDigitalSSD BPX (Bullet Proof eXpress) Pro NVMe SSDs leverage the PCIe 3.1 x4 complex in the M.2 SSD form-factor to deliver staggering (up to) sequential read and write speeds of 3,400MB/s and 3,100MB/s, respectively - with not too shabby 4K random performance. These speeds are achieved using Phison's new E12 controller paired with Toshiba-made BiCS3 TLC NAND flash, one of the industry's strongest NAND options. With these price-cuts, they've become one of the cheapest options in the market, and are likely vying for the price/performance crown.

Nice, but I still want to see a review and how long term reliable they are.

In what universe in $599.99 -> $569.99 a 25% drop? You may want to look at that title again.

It's always up to in the PC space, though admittedly $99.99 to $79.99 or $149.99 to $129.99 isn't 25% either. Maybe someone mixed up $100 being 25% more expensive than $79.99

Checked eteknix & this is the price listed there, only one of them is 25% off, so little bit of a creative title this!
The three smallest capacities are available now. The BPX Pro 240GB is only $74.99, the 480GB is $129.99, and the 960GB is $259.99. The soon-to-be-available 2TB drive will be priced at $569.99.

Not if it goes kapoopoo in 6-12 months .... and all of a sudden the mfgr. goes incognito for another 6 months 'cause they saw your rma request.... Or they are hiding out in the Bahamas, spending YOUR money on fufu drinks and cheap beach hoho's..

It looks like they released the product with an MSRP that was based on M.2 SSD prices from a few months ago. Then they realized that everyone else's prices were lower and adjusted accordingly.

Compared to this, I would still prefer to buy the Samsung 960 Evo series and call it a day. I would know that I am getting great performance and endurance for a small premium. That premium is easily justifiable to me as that premium is divided over 48-60 months. Not to mention the solid Samsung software available with Data Migration and Magician.

With that said, I always go with Samsung Pro for my gaming rigs. Samsung definitely demands premiums, but they earned that position.
