Rockstar Games has released a new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer into the wilds, which seemingly serves to set the PC community even more aflame than they rightly are - the game isn't coming to our platform of choice, at least for now. The trailer showcases a glorious game, built on the shoulders of giants and with the developers' open-world expertise being pushed to new heights.

Of course, The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 comparisons will always be made, but for now, there's not much we can say on that front - the game is, for now, pure potential. An image is worth more than a thousand word, so here's a 2160p video showcasing the myriad of activities you can embark on in this huge, richly-detailed world. Luckily, October 26th is just around the corner.

Or never in the case of the other Red Dead games...

I'm not holding my breath for this one to even make it to PC. Though I think it would be pretty cool if they just released all 3 games on PC, finally, as an anthology series.

This cash grab they made a trailer for and is PR fodder that may or may not be vaporware.

So you're selling 1200EU Video Cards for the PC, 500EU Gaming CPUs for the PC, 32 GB RAM for 500EU, in order to play latest quality games and the companies are no longer releasing quality games for PC...
Really, are we ALL that stupid???

"You can also experience the game in 1st person."

As soon as I heard that I was sold. Game looks great...and I've started to enjoy games that let me shoot back and forth between 1st and 3rd person perspectives.

Fallout:NV being my favorite to date...although recently surpassed by...

I have a ps4pro but I'll refrain myself from buying RDR2.
I'll only buy the games that have absolutely no chance of coming to PC, like Spider-man and The Last of Us 2.

Eh. I'm still unsure what was so great about the first game. It just felt like a slow, boring GTA. I put 8-10 hours into the game and really tried, but it wasn't fun. I loaned the game to my younger brother and let him try it out. He played even less and said it wasn't any fun.....I think he still has the game and he borrowed it back sometime around 2011 or 2012.

Controls were clunkly.
Graphics were meh, but I played mostly on a high-end PC and thought most PS3 games looked poor in comparison.
Story (what I got through) wasn't anything enticing enough to keep me entertained (good example of a story I liked, but gameplay I thought was dull was The Witcher. I played through that game for the story and suffered the bland combat and clunky controls).
This "GTA wannabe game", all cars were replaced with horses that didn't respond well to controls, they always felt like there was a short delay before responding to the controller input.

I guess I just never understood the fun the game was supposed to provide. Now it's what, 8+ years since the original came out and they're releasing a sequel? I think RockStar missed their window for releasing a sequel. 8+ years is a long time to go between releasing a follow up to a game. You've got kids that never played the original now into games such as Fortnite and Destiny games and PUBG, they won't know what the original RDR was nor anything about it and they're not going to run out and pick up a dated game just for a sequel in the series.

The controls felt clunky because it was built on the GTA IV engine, where everything felt clunky. The graphics were meh because it was restricted to 7 year old consoles. Both of these would be fixed by this new release.

The story, OTOH, is a persistent issue. I have no doubt Rockstar is going to do the same thing they did with GTA V, pushing multiplayer and microtransactions hard.

As for the timing, well, you do realize that your complaints about RDR2's timing ALSO apply to RDR1? The excitement online for RDR2 seem to point out that the kids playing fortnight are not rockstar's target audience.
