I'm pretty sure that iGPU variants of modern Macbook Pros will drive two 5k displays. I know they can at least drive 1x5k and 1x4k as I work with a co-worker who's currently doing that.

I hope the term "Visually lossless" is true... 50% compression surely cannot be easy to pull off without some kind of artifacts? I guess you just have to figure out what the right failure mode is, then it will be a case of once you see it, you'll never be able to unsee it again.
