Nominees for Game Awards Show 2018 Outed - And There are a Lot of PS4 Exclusives

The nominees for the 2018 Game Awards have been announced, and... It seems that us PC gamers are missing out. I myself am missing out, despite owning my own PS4 system; there's just so much time one can have in between - the other kind of - life. However, the range of nominees that are exclusive to Sony's system is relentless in showing us that there may be life on the other side of the pond.

There are a whole lot of categories for this one, so I'll take my editor's discretion in calling your attention to the Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, and Best Narrative categories, where exclusives to Sony's platform God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man are nominated in all three categories. Detroit: Become Human, another PS4 exclusive, eeked its way into both Best Game Direction and Best Narrative categories as well, and console exclusive (for now) Red Dead Redemption 2 is nominated in all three categories. On this generation every GOTY nominees had PS4 exclusives, and this year 3 of the 6 are console exclusive aswell. Last year Mario, Zelda, Horizon. And here we are talking about RTX, hertz, frames and 500€ 95º CPUs, instead of... games. Well we still have Fortnite or Counter Strike, right.

Game Awards Show has always been a joke to be quite frank. I remember a game that had only been out for 3 months won the best ongoing support award, despite many other titles in the category having been out and successful for nearly a decade. It's literally a popularity contest of whichever game has the most fans willing to vote for the title.

Of course all nominated titles are playstation and Nintendo exclusives. those systems have been getting amazing, system selling, genre defining, quality single player games. While us PC gamers are getting early access, unfinished, glitch fest Moba ,battle royal, and asset flip indie games that overstock the steam store more so ever day.

Those playstation exclusives look so much better than any maxed out pc game I've seen. What's more ironic is people saying that ray tracing is the next big thing in pc gaming and that might be true, people need to understand that developers build and optimize their game engines specifically to leverage console hardware as humanly possible THEN port them to pc. So unless consoles somehow support ray tracing, the technology will slowly dissappear and you'll only see it in one or two titles every year. Developers won't spend time effort and costs recoding the game code to add performance crippling ray tracing to the 2% who owns RTX cards let alone the top dog 2080 ti barly holding 60 fps. Nvidia collaborated with developers adding ray tracing to promote RTX cards for now. After that the technology will die just like Physix and hair works

Detroit would totally get my vote but Heavy Rain was the best game I ever played on PS3 and bought it again for PS4. Detroit did not disappoint.

1 - Intel fabrication woes and supply demand made them increase prices let alone pushing gamers to the top of the line cpus fir gaming

2- Dram price fixing doubled ddr4 prices

3- no competition allowed nvidia to grossly over price graphics cards cause what choice do we have.

4- motherboards are 20% more expansive than what they were for some reason

Meanwhile in the console market.

1- xbox one x price drops 100 $

2- playstation 4 pro price also drops

3- playstation 4 slim spiderman bundle for just 199 $

4 - playstation Vr price also drops

8- Rampant hacking on almost every game, excluding fortnite or overwatch

Detroit works on 24fps god of war haw scaling issues driveclub is ok but lots of locked content.
Tested many ps4 games i don't like all of them.
UFC men fights were funny or weird.
