Yesterday EVGA announced that if you purchase a "qualifying EVGA GeForce RTX graphics card" you could get Battlefield V for free. This giveaway now has been extended to the rest of OEMs, so if you purchase a graphics card from the GeForce RTX 20 family, you'll get a digital code to download your free copy of Battlefield V. The global promotion is valid from November 20, 2018 through January 7, 2019 "or while supplies last" according to the terms and conditions. It's a good chance to enjoy this game with or without enabling the ray tracing effects that unfortunately halve performance.

It (RTX cards) was never a bad product for its time. It’s price is just unconvincingly high.

With rx 590 you get 3 free games.

The funny thing is, battlefield actually has AMD optimizations lol

lol - basically what I was thinkin'.
Nvidia stock dropped another ~3% today. I'm lovin' every second of it, too. I'm sure they'll rebound at some point, but it's good to see them get punished, if even short-lived punishment for price gouging like they are.

Well honestly as a shareholder I would easily be inclined to think Nvidia has capped out in terms of their GPU performance increases. They are pushing higher TDPs across the board to get a better OC out of their FE"s and the performance gap is very minor, while the only truly better performing card is priced out of the market, and its redeeming feature is not supported by content.

That sounds an awful lot like RTG, Vega, and RX590.

Nvidia is purposely limiting performance. Much of the die space is spent on Tensor and RT cores, which in fact, for little serves on a gaming cards for now.

An RTX 2070 has less Cuda Cores than the GTX 1080 and clock-by-clock, the RTX 2070 is superior. Therefore, there were significant improvements in architecture.

If Nvidia was under pressure from AMD, they would leave the RT and Tensor Cores, and they had room for make the cards much better.
