The upcoming EVGA Z390 DARK is designed from the ground up to be the world's best overclocking motherboard. Need proof? The EVGA Z390 DARK was recently used by Finland Overclocker, Juhani Luumi AKA LUUMI to set a brand new CINEBENCH 8-Core CPU World Record. Armed with an Intel Core i9-9900K, and EVGA Z390 DARK Motherboard and Liquid Nitrogen Cooling, LUUMI was able to clock his CPU to nearly 7GHz and achieve a score of 3142 cb. A new CINEBENCH 8-Core CPU World Record!

About the EVGA Z390 DARK Motherboard

The EVGA Z390 DARK sets the standard for motherboards based on the Intel Z390 chipset. The Z390 DARK is designed for ultra-enthusiasts looking to pull every last ounce of performance from the new 9th Gen Intel 8-Core CPUs. The Z390 DARK features a 17 Phase VRM design, along with two right-angle 8pin connectors to provide maximum power for overclocking. Two SMT DIMMs enable high-frequency and low latency RAM overclocking. The 10-layer PCB is studded with multiple sensors, which can be displayed on the dual-LED displays. The Z390 DARK contains Creative Audio with EVGA NU Audio, two Intel Gigabit NICs, mini-Display Port, onboard power/reset/CMOS buttons, PCIe disable switches, triple BIOS support, and 8 smart fan headers. Lastly, a motherboard is only as good as its BIOS, and the EVGA Z390 DARK features EVGA's newest UEFI/BIOS GUI focusing on overclocking and functionality wtih brand-new features such as OC Robot and EVGA-only In-BIOS Stress Testing.

It'll launch when hell freezes over, because that's the environment you'll need to run at 7Ghz.

At 1.95 - 2.05 volts, mind you. This is often done on air too, for short benchmarks and binning purposes.

On paper the EVGA Z390 DARK looks better than the Apex board.

Only planning on overclocking an Intel 6-core so this board should be more than adequate.

Placed on the purchase list. :)

lol, not at that voltage. No.
I wouldn't expect it to be much different.

Air with those volts isn't too bad :) Used to run that and more through the DDR3 ram when I used to benchmark, was fun :)

I just wonder if it would be more efficient since compared to the full sized OCF, it's meant to be a little better :) Maybe that's another job and test for Luumi :)

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
OOps. I thought he meant the CPU, not the RAM... haha. Yeah, you can do that... buuuuuuuuuut...

He may have more luck on the memory side of things as that tiny little think and its short traces do help.
