EVGA today released four new all-in-one (AIO) liquid VGA coolers for its GeForce RTX 20-series graphics cards, under its Hybrid Kit branding. The Hybrid Kit "400-HC-1184-B1" is meant for RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 XC, XC2, and Founders Edition variants. The "400-HC-1384-B1" is designed for RTX 2080 Ti Founders Editon and EVGA's XC and XC2 renditions of the RTX 2080 Ti. Both these models are priced at USD $169.99. The "400-HC-1284-B1" is designed for FTW3 series cards based on the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080; while the "400-HC-1484-B1" is meant for the RTX 2080 Ti FTW3. Both these FTW3 variants are priced at $179.99.

These coolers earn their "Hybrid" name in being a combination of liquid and air cooling. An AIO pump-block pulls heat from the GPU, while a heatsink ventilated by a 100 mm fan suspended along a shroud cools the VRM areas of the graphics cards. A base-plate covers the memory areas, and transfers heat to the AIO block. A 120 mm radiator along with a 120 mm PWM fluid-bearing fan dissipate heat drawn from the GPU and memory. The shroud covering it all is studded with addressable RGB LEDs that plug into the aRGB header of the PCB.

How to make something simple, extremely unecessarily complicated for zero gains.

You can trust EVGA to provide.

my 900 hybrid in the rooms hottest day pounding on it never sees over 48c depends on the card for gains but temps as that don't see throttling in the clocks as you could under air at any temps higher

it work well for me . been a good card but just hope the pump never fails or if it does it fails early and evga can replace it [ that there shortcoming with evga on these seen with the 900 cards ]
best buy the air card and the kit not a factory built . pump fails you keep the card back on air turn in the pump unit under it coverage not lose the whole card due to the pump [hint- hint ] the factory built hybrids you could be leftholding the bag and just offered the '' next best referb rma deal [like a air 1070 ] take it or leave it ..lol. wow..

Cooling the GPU to mid 40s while leaving the memory / VRMs no better off (and sometimes worse) is not something that piques my interest.

the ''blower '' fan got a plate for that the first ones on the 900 series did not [they used a reference fan the updated with the vrm cooling plate has the revised ''flat '' fans ]
I had pic's of that but guess I deleated them if I find that comparison review of this i'll post back with trhe pics on that

you can see it in the articles pic above that plate covers the vrm, then I hate to think that memory is getting that hot to start with anyway , guess they would get most heat from the gpu chip instead of generating heat on there own ? [then what do I know ..lol.. ]

well cant find the 900 series changes but tpu kind shows for a 10 series that is more revised then the revised 900 series on that

first 900 series has nothing much [reference blower fan shroud models ]

odd I cant find the revised 900 cards pic of the cooling plate used in it , sorry they did add it to the flat fan silver shrouded ones
