It feels like an entire age has passed since we heard about a full successor to the Borderlands franchise, with offshoots such as Tales from the Borderlands only causing more anticipation to build. In the time since Borderlands 2 came out, Telltale ceased to exist, making Tales from the Borderlands 2 no longer a project coming up. Gearbox too have gone through some.. interesting times.. lately, with CEO Randy Pitchford being accused of deviant activities caused via mishandling of company secrets and also massive annual bonuses at a time the industry was being blamed for underpaying the average worker.

Perhaps the tease of a new Borderlands announcement on Twitter earlier today was just what the company needed as a positive distraction, with timing between Borderlands 1 and 2, and time since Borderlands 2, all suggesting this is very likely going to be Borderlands 3. The highway exit marked number 3 is no doubt another piece of evidence towards this assumption being valid. We will know more on March 28, when PAX East officially kicks off, but no doubt this is enough to kick-start another discussion on whether Claptrap is cool or annoying (or both).

Let's see if they can resist the urge of copying over everything that was good in shooters of the past year, and keep things original, yet familiar. Quite a balancing act and expectations are high. Also: MTX... Borderlands is a perfect concept for lots of shitty shop purchases, let's hope the game is what its predecessors were, meaty, no-nonsense loot shooting.

Also, Claptrap... he's cool, tries to be funny and usually succeeds in my book :)

Perfect timing. I was thinking about selling 1060 and replaying the entire Borderlands series on my spare RX560, so by the time I finish all of it, and get RTX2060 - the new installment will most likely come out!!!

My favorite part in BL: The Pre Sequel... Did my first playthrough as Claptrap, and then... I did it again! :kookoo:

I'm already very excited.

I was with the 1st, the 2nd was more more like a claptrap. Sadly be skipping this as it's most likely more of of hit you up for loads of craptrapdlc's.

Maybe in a year or two when they have all the crappyhit me up for every dine is out.

I'm not surprised that there will be a Borderlands 3. Borderlands 2 sold very well. I will pick it up unless it's a turd. I enjoyed Borderlands 1 and 2.
