NZXT, a leading developer of software-powered hardware solutions for PC gaming, today announces the HUE 2 Ambient RGB Lighting Kit V2, powered by CAM. The updated version of the HUE 2 RGB Ambient Kit brings product improvements that make installation easier and help ensures that the included LED strips will be securely attached to your monitor. In addition, CAM provides users with numerous lighting modes including an ambient lighting mode that reacts to the images on your screen. The HUE 2 ecosystem delivers the broadest line of RGB lighting accessories for PC Builders with over 10 different accessories such as the HUE 2 RGB lighting kit, underglow kit, AER RGB 2 fans, and cable combs.

HUE 2 Ambient RGB Kit V2 New Features:
  • Stronger Adhesive: Upgraded the 3M LED strip adhesive backing tape to be thicker and stickier. It is more compatible with the different surfaces and textures of monitors on the market.
  • L-Shape Corner Connector: For easier setup, we replaced the 150mm corner connectors to an L-shape corner connector for the top left and bottom right of your monitor.
  • Alcohol Wipes: As your monitor may be dusty or dirty, we added alcohol-based cleaning wipes so you can clean the back of the monitor before adhering the LED strips.
HUE 2 RGB Ambient Lighting Kit Features
Available in two configurations, one for 21" to 25"/34"-35" UltraWide monitors and one for 26" to 32" monitors, the HUE 2 RGB Ambient Lighting Kit adds gorgeous lighting to your gaming PC and provides a more immersive in-game experience* by projecting the colors from the edges of your display to your walls.
  • HUE 2 RGB Ambient Lighting controller
  • Faster microprocessor enables incredibly smooth lighting effects and virtually instantaneous response changes to colors on the screen in ambient mode
  • Multiple LED strips in various lengths, along with easy-to-follow configuration and installation instructions for various monitor sizes and aspect ratios
  • AC power adapter
  • All necessary cables
  • Compatible with all HUE 2 accessories and CAM lighting modes
MSRP Pricing:
  • HUE 2 Ambient RGB Lighting Kit V2 (21"-25", 34"-35" UltraWide) - $99.99
  • HUE 2 Ambient RGB Lighting Kit V2 (26"-32") - $99.99

I made my own DIY ambilight behind my (ultrawide) monitor. It has more leds, fits my monitor exactly and is waaay cheaper than the NZXT stuff.
Though of course it wasn't as plug&play as the NZXT kit and doesn't fit into their ecosystem.

The fun side of this, HUE already creates a crazy light show in CS:GO having this behind the monitor just to let everyone know how nearly dead I am in game would be fun :)

I'm using Philips TV, and Ambilight is a very nice feature. Wonder if NZXT is paying Philips, as this is essentially the same thing, with almost same name.

I wouldn't touch this with a U+221E foot pole due to the horrible software NZXT uses to run it.

Does it have better software? Because my NZXT kraken x52 is sitting in a box on the floor due to its useless software

I see quite a few people mentioning software issues, I have been using CAM for a while now with no issues, is there something I should be checking?
Cheers

mine would always error out with offline mode, and reset all its settings.

If i forced it into guest mode half the settings wouldnt work, and then on a reboot it'd forget the guest mode setting, and reset everything anyway.

Add in the 1-2 minutes it'd take to load, error, load and eventually let me log in, with all the fans and pump at high noise settings until i manually set them to silent again, in an otherwise silent build, and it turned out to be a really expensive mistake.

I even formatted windows, and still had all the same issues.

Tbh not really a fan of RGB lights on everything. Great for the 12 year old gamers, but all it does imo is make your pc look gaudy, or like some weird fair ground attraction, but each to their own I guess.

set it to dim white, and suddenly your system is really easy to see through that tinted tempered glass

Do you understand its AMBIENT LIGHTING RGB. It's not just blinking lights...

I was looking for a long time, and cheapest I found whole kit was around £300.

But i check reviews of this ambient lighting kit, like i mention before it have not enough leds on strip, and on review they show this kit have delay..

NZXT RGB light are overpriced and perform just the same as a cheaper light.
