AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition (Gold Edition) Isn't Just a Fancy Box

Canada Computers put out details of Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition, officially known as the Ryzen 7 2700X Gold Edition, a commemorative SKU of the 2700X which has been pictured in our older story. At the time we reported that the new SKU commands a roughly $50 premium over the regular 2700X with a fancy new box design and a facsimile of AMD CEO Lisa Su's signature on the processor's IHS. Turns out, you get a whole lot more.

The Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition includes not just the processor and a Wraith Prism RGB cooling solution, but also two AAA games: Tom Clancy's "The Division 2" Gold Edition, and "World War Z," a black cotton T-shirt with AMD 50 artwork on both sides, and a special case-badge with another signature of the CEO, besides the Ryzen 7 case-badge. The 2 Free Games offer is being extended to the entire Ryzen 2000 AM4 desktop processor family, and several Radeon GPU models, including Radeon VII, RX 500 series, and RX Vega series. The offer is subject to retailer participation.

No but really, AMD should learn a thing or two about selling products at premium. Its like they don't WANT a profit margin sometimes. Why all this free stuff, doesn't the product sell itself?

True that. I been trying to OC manually and was going nowhere fast.
Maybe when I get my computer shipped I will give it another shot. Although if they are cherry picked maybe there will be some headroom giving the possibility to crank the frequency higher?

Nah thanks, I will still wait for 2-3 months more and get a 20% faster CPU in the 3700x, nice try though AMD. My CPU's last me 3-5 year cycles... so... yeah

Why, WHY, do they put huge logos on the back of the T-Shirts? We are NOT moving advertisements. I have a really nice, high quality black T-Shirt from Nvidia and I NEVER wear it outside because of the Nvidia brand that is in the back. If it had just the logo in front, I would have been wearing it everywhere. But logo on the back? No, seriously, it would look like I am a salesman, or a fast food employee returning from work, still wearing the shop's t-shirt.

sorry but i dont see any + with having some ladys name on a badge on my pc case would improve my game play but two top titles now thats a big + i can see the point in going for one sort of. i think something more in clock speed would of been a better sell.

(Really hoping to buy a 12 core Ryzen 3000 for that price in about 6 weeks...)
