Cooler Master Releases its First Bluetooth Wireless 60% Layout Mechanical Keyboard

Cooler Master, a global leader in designing and manufacturing innovative gaming peripherals and computer components, today launched its first Bluetooth wireless mechanical keyboard, the SK621. "We created the SK621 with design and functionality in mind. Especially for those who are on the go, workers by day and gamers at night." says Bryant Nguyen, Peripheral General Manager.

The SK621 is a 65-key compact design Bluetooth wireless mechanical keyboard with all the essentials. It uses Cherry MX's new low profile switches providing a reduced travel distance and actuation point with the same signature durability and precision as a standard red switch. The wireless hybrid design allows users to choose between a corded or cordless set up based on preference. The keyboard grants approximately 14 hours of usage while backlit or up to four months without lighting. The board is equipped with Type-C USB for convenience, per-key backlighting, surrounding light bars, and macros can be fully customized through Cooler Masters easy to use Portal Software Application. On-the-fly-controls allow real-time adjustments to lighting and macros without the need of software, including Windows Lock On/Off to prevent accidental actuation during game play. Its chiclet keycaps are slim and slightly contoured to provide a comfortable feel. The SK621 will be available on Amazon starting May 7, 2019, respectively, for $119.99. Well, most mech boards are more $$ than regular ones though...

I like this unit, and as soon as they make a full sized version, I will be whippin out da plastik to get me some....

I've often wondered why nobody makes full sized wireless mech boards.... if anybody knows of any, please send me a link or 2

Why do you think that you paying 40$ for a wired keyboard with no-name Chinese switches be relevant to an article about a wireless keyboard with Cherry MX switches?

Of course a lower end product is gonna be cheaper than a high end product.

I only paid $40 for some regular non-mech non-rgb brand name KB's too, and they have lasted for several years. However, I want to switch to mech now, and am willing to pay a reasonable price for one IF it is wireless and full sized.... the Corsair mech board I bought my son was only $80, but of course it was wired, which he doesn't care about, but I simply refuse to buy/use myself....

Low-profile switches are expensive. I've been eyeing Kailh LPs since last year(cheapest low-profile switches) and still can't force myself to spend $70 just on that. Regular full-size switches cost in some cases 3 times less. Considering it's Cherry MX LP and not some offbrand crap, I'd say it's more than a fair price, though personally I wouldn't buy it.

For what it is, it's still a little bit steep. I imagine around the oner mark it would fly off the shelves.

But I like the styling, if they do a full sized version I will have a hard time not putting my shine 2 into retirement.

Software driver and arguably better build quality as well, but of course you are paying for the Cherry switches and the CM brand name + customer support too.

Yup, and if my Bluetooth woes are anything to go by- wired is the way to go. Let's see if CM can help out, else I'll try to push out the review tomorrow or so.

Bluetooth is pretty bad for a gaming keyboard. At least you can plug it in. Price should be around $99, $120 is a little steep.

I bought a low profile wireless Cherry B. Unlimited with Cherry SX scissor switches for $20's new personally. Week after I bought it loved it so much that I picked up a spare/backup since it was dirt cheap for such high quality.
