Corsair Announces MP600 M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD Compatible with AMD X570

Availability, Warranty
The CORSAIR Force Series MP600 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD will be available alongside the full launch of AMD X570 chipset motherboards and new 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors in July 2019. The MP600 will be available from the CORSAIR worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors.

I think is a waste of money if we dont pair them with, buying a x570 and using pcie3 devices is a waste, really. If people want to combo pcie3 devices then dont bother buying the x570, well i would not. Many people say future proof, I myself say present proof, paying a new tech to use later is a waste of money and sense.

I like the heatsink but as always, corsair charges an arm and leg for an added heatsink, they do that to memories, hope wont be the case this time.

Even if the new Ryzens were still a bit slower than Coffee Lake (which they are not, they are faster in every way other than "raw Ghz"), the new platform is still WAY more attractive than anything Intel (for consumers), simply because of freekin' PCI-e 4 !!

Yeah hopefully 3700x is as amd claims, at least 1% faster than 9700k in single thread workloads and just like I said before buying a x570 and pair with pcie3 devices makes no sense whatsoever.

it depends on your upgrade. going from a laptop what SSD to a desktop with obe of the best pcie3 nvme is more tha enough for people like me. and the price of pci3 should go down

Like I said before if staying or going pcie3 then buy the cheapest am4 board that supports 2280 is the best choice.

Why? What exactly does PCIe 4 offer that PCIe 3 does not? More bandwidth... oh wait, graphics cards are fine with PCIe 3 x8.

As for SSD bandwidth, you are almost never going to benefit from these stupidly high 4GB/sec numbers that are being thrown around, because sequential reads are the least common type of workload. Random reads and writes are the most critical metric for SSD performance and I guarantee you that those will be hardly improved, perhaps even regressed, compared to current SSDs that are "only" PCIe 3.

.... bla bla bla yada yada you are almost never going to benefit from these stupidly high 4GB/sec numbers bla bla bla....

... unless you're a video editor dealing with 4K footage on multiple tracks, and watching Windows 10 drive performance hit 99.9%, utilization 3+ GB/s and getting the SSD more hot than the sun after a few hours of work. Luckily I got an aftermarket heat-sink which does the job decently of keeping the SSD from throttling (too bad).

Can't wait to do NVMe RAID with one drive from CPU and another one from Chipset, to actually have full bandwidth of all 8 lanes.

I never said this upgrade applies to Joe Average Gamer & corp.

x570 though gives you the chance to buy pcie4 SSD later on, especially after seeing how these ssds perform. personally I got a air of 1tb sx8200 pro the last few days and will pick up a pcie4 when I see some benchmarks

I'm not sure if you know but some motherboard vendors updated their bios with pcie4 support, not sure how it works on motherboards like x470 or 450. So I guess now it depends on price and see if it properly works or not. I guess we will have to wait for reviews next month to see.

If they are chipset fed lanes for the m.2 slot, I'm not sure the chipset suddenly turns to pcie 4.0 due to the bios flash AMD CPU... but not sure. AFAIK, the update is for the PCIe slots and not all boards can handle it anyway.

yeah I noticed that a few days ago. I think X470 has partial support for PCIe4, so I wanted to go with X570 for this and all the small Ryzen 3 features its supposed to support over X470. but a review next month will help confirm the differences between the 2 true
