be quiet!, the market leader in PC power supplies in Germany since 2007, announces System Power 9 CM, an entry-level semi-modular power supply available in 400 to 700 watt models. The new cable-managed power supply series expands the existing System Power 9 range and features 80PLUS Bronze level efficiency up to 89 percent, providing solid performance and an extensive feature set. Combined with a great price-performance ratio and the added convenience of removable PCI-Express and drive cables, System Power 9 CM is a perfect component for cost-conscious system builders.

System Power 9 CM's line-up is built with the latest technology and available at a competitive price, while maintaining the quality and reliability expected from a premium brand like be quiet! All models are 80PLUS Bronze certified and feature improved voltage regulation via DC-to-DC technology. Each System Power 9 CM power supply unit comes with a full range of integrated protection circuits, including over temperature protection (OTP), while a temperature-controlled high-quality 120-millimeter fan constantly cools the power supply at low noise levels. In comparison to System Power 9, the CM variant has a lower fan curve, resulting in less noise.

High performance and multi-GPU capability
Two independent 12 V rails ensure highly stable power output to all PC components. System Power 9 CM power supplies with 400 and 500 watts are equipped with two PCI-Express connectors, while the 600 W and 700 W versions offer four PCI-Express connectors, allowing system builders to use these power supplies for multi-GPU configurations.

The best choice for office and multimedia systems
Outstanding characteristics make System Power 9 CM perfect for cost-conscious system builders looking to build energy-efficient office, multimedia, or entry-level gaming systems. Thanks to its compliance with Intel C6/C7, ErP, and Energy Star 6.1 guidelines and its power saving technology, System Power 9 CM achieves a low standby power of less than 0.15 Watts. To help satisfy system builder aesthetics, the fixed 20+4 pin and P4+4 cables use black sleeves, while removable black low-profile cables for drives and PCI-Express expansion cards add a high-quality look to each power supply. The usual be quiet! quality workmanship is paired with a three-year warranty that completes each System Power 9 CM package.

System Power 9 CM is now available for purchase in Europe and Australia at an MSRP of €54.90 / £46.99 (400W), €64.90 / £57.99 (500W), €74.90 / £67.99 (600W) and €84.90 / £76.99 (700W).

This looks like a decent PSU from the looks of it, now just need to wait for some reviews.

Hard pass, bronze deserves at least 5 years. On top of that, a rehashed regular SP9 unit, but modular. Woohoo!!! Amirite fellas? Seems like even PSU manufacturers can't be bother, so much for "innovation" smh...

At this pricepoint, you don't get innovation, you get hand-me-down PSU technology... generally speaking.

Orion database doesn't have it on record yet, or I simply can't find it. But, if it is based on the "old" System Power 9 then it should be based on a HEC platform, which, according to the post on jonnyguru http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/sho...uce-the-System-Power-9-series-next-week/page2 is a decent budget unit.

Now that is with the assumption that it is indeed based on System Power 9 non CM.

Realhardtechx is another Database

Check the oem

Not as important as it used to be though. Most of the "standard" OEMs (if not all) can and does do at least decent PSUs.
