1.5v is within JDEC standard, so yeah, should be perfectly possible.

Ive ramped up my memory up to 1.475v to only get 2 cas latencys lower. I thought that it wasnt worth it looking at the performance numbers. Dialled it back at 1.385v and called it a day.

I thought the 1:1 ratio was only preseved until 3600?
Hmm, I read from AMD that it was 3733 that was the maximum 1:1 that infinity fabric could handle, and that AMD was just recommending 3600 out of caution. Anything above 3733 was stated to be a ratio. I'm just as surprised to see this 3800 1:1 claim, although the difference in benches or real world tests would be negligible.

That is correct from what I have read aswell! To be honest I think it has to do with RAM availability and the companies accepting that 3600 mhz is a more normal factoryOC-frequency. having to force alot of people into a 133mhz overclock might reflect badly upon their mobo's so they locked in at a safe 3600mhz. The practical gain from 3600mhz CL16 to 3733mhz CL16 is miniscule.

I cut be tempted to try this out. Maybe not for running at 3800 mhz as the devider kicks in there. But run them at 3600 mhz or 3733 mhz and press the timings even lower.

Sure price to performance is not great. As these ram will be in the higher price range. But as rare i upgrade hardware, i am willing to pay a bit more to cramp every thing out of the hardware. When i upgrade, no compromises.

Difference between 3600, 3733 and 3800 would be negligible indeed. 2:1 however, not so much.

Odd, maybe W1zz can drop AMD a few lines for a clarification?

That is their spec... what the AIBs do in their BIOS is a different story.

I've heard some go lower to make sure more memory kits can be approved/QVL as they were having some stability issues at 3733 1:1.

That said, I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact I have all four DIMMs populated with 32GB.... along those lines, the Asus TUF X570 Gaming-Plus Wi-Fi ran all the sticks at 1:1 3600.........

... seems a bit scary still on the memory compatibility side for mobos. Another guy and I have the same exact kit, but it didn't work on 2/3 boards when manually setting some clocks.. his did on different boards. Sometimes XMP/DOCP doesn't want to work. It isn't like 1st gen... but there does seem to be quirks with the memory.

Joe has an exceptional chip. This isn’t the norm, I don’t think. Mine can’t go above 3733 without crapping out to 1:2 or failing to POST. I will also put that down to the board I’m on, and wait for a BIOS update to see if it gets better.

Complete and total waste of money. Their "certified" 3600 MHZ ryzen kits couldnt hit 3000 on my ryzen 1700, and many 2700 users were unsuccessful in reaching above 3400 without insane timings.

Was the memory certified on your board? Besides that, it may not run with your particular chip. You could have a terrible IMC. The 1700 had major issues getting above 3200. Mine was good and did 3600. My 2700X couldn’t handle more than 3400 reliably. It just depends. You can’t call it garbage because your particular chip can’t run it.

I think its because 3733 is a guaranteed and past that its silicon lottery to get 1900 fclk and uclk t9 run stable

Past 3733 its silicon lottery. Some chips may not be stable at 1900

Could zen and zen+ even hit those memory clocks? I thought they choked around 3200+...especially zen.

Zen had issues with 4 sticks @ 3200. Heck, even most non-B-dies were hard to reach 3200 with 2 sticks.

Zen+ was a bit better.

I really do have to correct it.
for the first 6 months Yes, 3200 on anything but B-die was hard.
now CJR, AFR, E die, B-die definitely work, even (4x16)64gb of it should be good for 3000 mhz just xmp boot so it have changed a lot, I ran 64gb 3200 CJR in my ryzen 1700 and it's now running 3000 mhz AFR.

Hey guys running Gskill 3200 CL16 ram on Asus X470-F on XMP profile works fine, but how do I get it to run FSB DRAM to run 1:1 currently running at 1:16 ? What settings is required to get it to work on 1:1?

FSB to DRAM never runs 1:1.... It's the Infinity Fabric that should be running 1:1 with your memory speed. What does CPUz say the NB is running at (look in Memory tab, upper right corner)

Do you have a Zen2/Ryzen 3000 processor?

Find an option in your BIOS for FCLK or setting the memory ratio to 1:1.

Are you going to attach CPUz screenshots???????????? Don't make us suck info out to help! :)
