Lack of competition is the only and the only reason. It has nothing to do anything you've mentioned.

the difficulty of going to smaller node is real. even when AMD still competing real hard vs nvidia the performance uplift per generation has slow down for both company.

The GTX 1650 is already 20USD more expensive than the RX 570 4GB model, while also being about 15-30% slower depending on the title.

If the GTX 1650 Ti does not launch at 139-149USD and push the non-Ti version down to 109-119USD then it is the case of why even bother. If it launches at 179USD I'll be havin' a laugh and a half.

Processor 5600H
Motherboard NA
Memory 16GB
Video Card(s) 3050
Storage 500GB SSD
Display(s) 14" OLED screen of the laptop
Software Windows 10
Benchmark Scores 3050 scores good 15-20% lower than average, despite ASUS's claims that it has uber cooling.
At worst case a replacement for 1060 at the same price and performance probably. Not so bad though
Given that 1650 is (traditionally, as 1050 and 1050Ti both sucked terribly) beaten by 570, so what would 1650Ti cost, if it beats it. Hm.

I came here to say this. The market is flooded with a bajillion RX 570 cards overproduced during the cryptocurrency rush.

It kills the market demand for anything that performs worse than a 1060 because you can pick that up for as little as $100 with a little hunting. Even if Nvidia chopped $50 off the launch price it wouldn't necessarily help as retailers would just slash Polaris prices to clear inventory.

I doubt.. could be like 750 Ti; the reference model didn't have one, AIBs could have a power connector.

i have a 1650 that dosnt have a socket its clock speed is severely limited by the 75 watt board power the same with a 1050TI i had before.. hence my comment..

Uhhh....The 1650 already exists, already shows a decent jump over the 1050ti, and already pulls 80+ watts at peak. There is literally nothing a LP 1650 ti could do the 1650 cant already do, as power is your limiting factor here.

As long as it doesn't need a lot of power (which isn't the case here), it's ok even if we have to install a sata-to-6pin-pcie adapter. Just in case the 75W of the pci-e are not enough. Some extra performance in the same form factor is always welcome, as is a possible price drop of the existing 1650.

So is it welcomed to get the same card for the same performance and price 3 years and 3 months after the original? LOL
If 1650Ti performs like a 1060, it will mean solid +50% performance in this segment. That's a lot. Just months ago 1060 was still recommended for mainstream 1080p gaming.

Yes, because the sub 75W cards are always overpriced. This is also why 1050Ti looks so bad compared to everything else (both Nvidia and AMD) on price vs performance.
Because there's more to "value" than just these 2 factors.

board partner will be very glad to do that especially the one like Asus. mean while RX570 still collecting dust in the warehouse even if they were cheaper....

Well... there is this thing called market conditions. They are launching these new products knowing all too well where they stack up performance wise and they should price them accordingly, but there is this layer of lower-end buyers who would rather buy something inferior for the price, just because it's a "GeForce".

Had similar experiances before the GPU-Cryptoboom when people bought overpriced GTX 1050Tis when there was the RX 470 4GB available on the market in numbers costing about 10% more and out performing it 30-40% performance wise. They weren't even buying them due of PSU constraints.
