If your GPU won't have sag, this will definitely have it. Imagine your GPU straight then a bar under slightly down.

It's sad that products like this need to exist in the first place, but all of the tier-1 vendors are guilty of putting hillariously heavy coolers on long cards with minimal structural support, just to save a few bucks and offer a 'discount' model.

I suspect their excuse is "but it's for waterblock; nobody is really going to use the attached cooler, right?"

These have existed on amazon for less than $10 for a while now. If you're going to get one, don't waste your money on the CM branded one, they're all just a slim bar of metal.

$1.59 for a can of spray paint...
$2 for 5 mins of (far east) labor
~$7 total cost .... done !

I guess the extra $18 is to cover the extensive R&D & marketing costs......

...am I supposed to pronounce this as "elve 8"? Or wouldn't it be "elves 8"? Or did they mean "elf 8"?

Why did they call it that anyway? Is "Elves 8" maybe somebody's favorite Christmas movie over in the marketing office? Did they really need to make 8 movies about elves? I've never even seen or heard of the first one! A movie like that can't be good enough to name a product after. I don't even see any elves on it! What a strange decision.

If it were me I would've called it "Elev8". That makes a lot more sense. Though you'd have to choke me into making the concession of using numbers instead of letters. And then in respite I'd insist on "3l3v8" instead. Cuz half stupid isn't smart enough to do good anyway... might as well drive all the way into stupid town where there are at least things happening.

Seeing stuff like this, I just picture a gaggle of workers scrounging something together so that nobody catches onto the fact that they're not actually pulling weight.

PC brands taking cheap items, slapping their label on it an doubling the price is just par for the course. I still have no idea why any idiot would buy a PC brand's rgb LEDs when you can buy generic LEDs for a quarter of the price.... But then again, as I've observed numerous times, the PC community seems to be completely unaware of somethings existence until Corsair or Phanteks slaps their sticker on it.... Idiots

My card is trislot and has no sag, it is Tier 1.

In case it wasn't already clear, I'm talking about those bottom-of-the-range models with no backplate and large, heavy coolers supported solely by the four screws around the GPU core.

IMO they're unsuitable for use in a tower-style case and only watercooling folk who will strip the air cooler before use need apply.
They'd probably fare okay as air coolers in horizontal HTPC-style cases, or these new PCI-e extension cables to vertical slots added to some of the more bling cases now.
