How do you like the AMD Fluid Motion Video and AMD Steady Video ?

Does it make any difference on and off, and how does it compare to video at very high FPS which is so fluid as if Sync is turned on at very high FPS ?

I mean have you noticed the phenomenon during gaming with very high FPS how with the movement of your mouse, the whole picture moves as if it is a single frame ?

edit: I am starting to evaluate SVP right now. First impressions are that it adds frames as if it's a smart TV, the CPU load is very high at around 60% and more, both GPUs are loaded - one at 18%, another at 28%.

The Hz is very high but the phenomenon of "through-lens" fluidity is still missing.

Depends really on use case and software environtment it seems. I haven't had a problem with my new RX 5600 XT in the first 3 weeks, but then I had two black screen crashes basically on idle within 4 days.
Due to work related stuff I had to open up Chrome along side Firefox with hw acceleration enabled and after 2-3 minutes swapping tabs on Chrome I had a black screen crash and the computer restarded after a couple of seconds just like a BSOD.

Then had the same thing happen when I had Discord open and just did a right click on my Steam tray icon, menu still came up. But right after that it hardlocked the PC. After that I disabled hardware acceleration in Chrome, FF, Discord, even Steam. Even uninstalled f.lux thinking there might be some compatibility problems too.

Now with the new drivers I turned everything back on again, bar reinstalling f.lux. Will report back if I run into problems again.

More than a amiss my system went totally nuts with 20.2.2

20.2.1 I think, exploded when I switched them Compute mode on a RX 560. Like full blown display corruption. Shut the system down properly, powered back up, no drivers for the GPU.

I wiped them out, installed the pro drivers, then updated to 20.2.2.

Running in Compute mode, and no problems reported. Yes, even in Chrome.

You guys aren't gonna believe but this release appears to have fixed the long standing issue with my 7870 causing the whole PC to freeze during GPU intensive scenarios, like playing modern-ish games or decoding 1080p videos. I've had it downclocked from 1050/1250 to 800/1000 for years now, which was the only solution to regular hang ups. Been playing Dark Souls 3 and watching movies on 20.2.2 with default 1050/1250 clocks since this driver came out and had no problems what so ever.

I've noticed power usage on these drivers has dropped a little.

Same as it's always been, Corsair TX650W. It was intended to power up a dual GPU set up but that never came to pass.

Have you tried another power supply just to make sure it isn't the card but the age and technical specifications of the PSU ?

Yep, it's the card. Just never got around to replacing anything since downclocking worked.

Sounds like your card has a current inrush bug trigger.

Card goes from 0-100 and doesn't step between. It causes the PSU to either crash because the capacitors can't hold up or it's over current protection is triggering.

The new driver actually forces the card to step up, rather than just min-maxing the clocks and the draw. That's what it sounds like to me anyway.
