Microsoft's Board of Directors (BoD) just got one more empty seat, but this time it is a big leave to the company. The co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, is stepping down from the company's BoD to focus more on philanthropy. In addition to Microsoft, Mr. Gates also decided to pull from Berkshire Hathaway, so he can focus his efforts on making a better world. In his own words: "I have made the decision to step down from both of the public boards on which I serve - Microsoft and Berkshire Hathaway - to dedicate more time to philanthropic priorities including global health and development, education, and my increasing engagement in tackling climate change. The leadership at the Berkshire companies and Microsoft has never been stronger, so the time is right to take this step."

He is big on depopulation now. He did some netflix videos on viruses and talked about exactly how the corona virus is happening now.

Strangely enough I had a friend bring this up during a chat and pointing with the same conspiracy fingers. Either way, In one way or another he was involved with the research of coronas or SARS at that were going on in the lab in hubei around the time of the outbreak.

I think, Bill being the wise man he has shown to be, this is the right time for him and the company.

After all, old MS is history and the new Cloud MS is working just fine. Its a new era and Nadella's got the ship on course.

Not sure whether this is good or bad. Interesting...

Catch 22, climate change is extremely laughable

The only way bill will be fully detached from MS is to sell his stocks from nasdaq and donate to organizations that want to provide potable water plants in countries that need them, or to development of vaccines against SARS, H1N1, Covid-19 etc etc.

Strangely enough I had a friend bring this up during a chat and pointing with the same conspiracy fingers. Either way, In one way or another he was involved with the research of coronas or SARS at that were going on in the lab in hubei around the time of the outbreak.

There's a vid on him speaking about using vaccines and health care to cut the world's population by 10-15%. His own foundation also put out a vid 2 months before Corona, detailing almost exactly how the later outbreak happens. After that he's a known member of a group of rich elites that started in 2009 with depopulation as one of their goals to "save the world." Oh and lets not forget, a known associate of Epstein who has stayed overnight with the guy many times. Then he quits MS 2hrs after Trump's press conference noting "We all know where it came from," in regards to the virus.

Even if you don't buy into every theory (which is smart), there is enough to really raise some questions. Responsible journalists should be investigating but clearly the media is keeping silent and covering it up. They pretty much glossed over his Epstein ties as much as they glossed over the evidence of Epstein's murder. Notice Weinstein wanting to avoid being Epstein'd. He knows he didn't kill himself and he knows that he knows too much.

Gates is just a shady piece of work. Course that is what a lot of these power elites are. They get big on malthusian theory and think depopulating is a noble cause and that they need to do it. They'll never line up their own family members and demand some of them make the sacrifice for the planet. They should really have just spent all their time and money investing in space travel and expanding up vs looking into ways to kill everyone here. Space programs would probably be another decade at least ahead of where they are now.

Not everyone wants "Cloud MS".

Which is just fine but totally unrelated, isn't it ;) One positive perhaps is that the company is definitely listening a lot more and better than it ever did. So far W10 is keeping very much in touch with legacy, for the most part. Its not a total departure from the old world at all, and the reason is the demand for it is still there. So we have it. Its a difficult balancing act, to keep an OS up to date, fast and lean without killing any old. I'll take Windows versions over Mac OSX versions any day of the week for example. Apple's way to deal with complexity is: streamline it and silently destroy it, or sell something better as the new way to go. MS says 'we can find a way to make it all work concurrently and/or when you need it'.

Anyway, I'll stop ranting :D

...which would work out to a few hundred dollars. Not that much if you ask me.

depopulating is a noble cause and that they need to do it.
But isn't it? If the currently fashionable virus kills 100 million people, well, that's just slightly more than a year of current population growth. Want a planet full of starving people regressing to being monkeys obsessed with food and water? Put 10 billion people on a planet on which 30% of 7 billion are already unable to support themselves on a level of basic needs. This would be, I don't know, around 2050? Food wars are already happening in Africa, so this will be a great world to live in. At some point forced depopulation might actually be the only way out, since humans obviously are not smart enough to control their own breeding.

Getting pretty philosophical but my personal line of thinking is that we humans are a species designed to reap a world and move on to the next, such is our nature. We multiply and survive against natural odds, so expansion is the only way forward. Even war, as a vehicle to reduce the overall population, has shown to be grossly ineffective. After a war killing millions, we start breeding like rabbits after all :D

So yeah, on Earth and climate... we better make sure we secure a new place first that is habitable and easy to go to, before we torch this one completely. In that sense Musk is a visionary... he knows this, too. Its inevitable, rules and regulations won't stop this either, they will only dampen the pace at which things go bad. We've created realities and systems too big to change. Capitalism... we're diving from one crisis into another, everything is on overdrive but a big change or departure from it? Not happening... We say it ourselves 'too big to fail'... but we stop at reaching the conclusion of that idea, which means you maintain the status quo with all of its problems.

Being a simple man, I prefer to put things in a simple way: Humans are glorified parasites, multiplying and ravaging resources in a way more suitable to locusts than a species aspiring to be called an intelligent one, with the vast majority possessing just enough brainpower to use their reproductive organs, but falling short of using reason and planning.
Hence, if anyone is working on a virus able to selectively kill 90% of the population, starting with the lowest IQ, I'm willing to commit all the resources at my disposal to such a goal.

On a lighter note, it's quite amusing how Bill Gates went from a teenager reportedly modifying the school system to be in a class with mostly girls, to an incredibly successful businessman to an aspiring savior of the world. Funny how life goes and ego scales linearly with contents of one's bank account.

Luckily those who like to see the world burn are still a minority. That is all I can say to this. Enjoy the sour mood :)

: Humans are glorified parasites,

This though, yes, in a sense we agree. But even a parasite will try to make sure that there is always a new host to go to. And that is also what is missing in your 'simple' consideration; throughout history we've destroyed a lot, but we've also developed and built a lot. Conditions have improved for all, even the poor and stupid. And we have always needed the poor and stupid, too. We might even be one of them or one of our ancestors might have been.

So, simple thought or not, try to bring that to a philosophy, weighing the results of that line of thought, and suddenly you'll be making sense... cause and effect. Its interesting to think about and gets you away from just the sour outlook of 'stupidity multiplies too fast'... another thing we generally agree on. But again, this is not any different throughout history and yet the overall knowledge of humans has increased time and time again. So... explain that? Maybe there is a reason to the madness.

Life is your citation. If you don't see it, you're not paying close enough attention.

Biology is it's own purpose, then?

Regardless, we have far strayed from the topic, evidence or no.
