It seems Dell is gearing up to refresh it's XPS 15 9500 and XPS 17 9700 laptops. A leaked image from the official Dell site first reported on by Notebook Check reveals the laptops will feature 16:10 3840x2400 displays, four USB-C ports likely with Thunderbolt 3 support, along with larger trackpads. There is no dedicated charging port so the laptop will likely use USB-PD for charging.

We don't know much more about the new machines but we can expect them to utilize Intel's recently released 10th Gen Comet Lake mobile chips paired with dedicated NVIDIA cards likely the 1650 Ti mobile at a minimum. It is likely that we will receive an official announcement from Dell announcing the laptops in the coming weeks.

Was really hoping to see a version of the XPS to come out with the new Ryzen processors. My work laptop is an XPS 13 from 3 or 4 years ago. I love the little machine and would consider one to replace my aging MBP in the future.

Agreed, no AMD option is a ridiculous move. Looking forward to the specs for the XPS 15, so glad they are moving to 16:10 though and still might get one even with Intel inside.

Benchmark Scores They're pretty good, nothing crazy.
They will for sure -- the competition will have Ryzen so Dell will as well. Ryzen laptop processors have been around for a while already with no consistency issues - just havent been as good as intel.

I kind of want a chunkier but still compact design with adequate cooling for these. A 14" or 13.5" ryzen xps would be amazing.
