Japanese monitor maker iiyama has recently unveiled the GB3461WQSU Red Eagle gaming monitor. The GB3461WQSU ticks all the boxes with a 3440x1440 resolution, 144hz refresh rate, IPS panel, 1 ms MPRT, and AMD Freesync support. The panel has 100% coverage of the sRGB color range, 74% of the NTSC one and a typical brightness of 350cd/m² along with a 1000:1 contrast ratio.

The included adjustable stand allows for height (130 mm), tilt (-3° - 22°) and swivel (45° in both directions) control but can also be removed for usage with a (100 x 100 mm) VESA mount. The monitor is equipped with two HDMI and two DisplayPort inputs along with two USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. . The monitor measures (W x H x D) 817 x 415 x 230 mm and weighs 9.7 kg. Pricing hasn't been announced by iiyama but a Dutch retailer has the monitor listed for €479 ($524 USD), with availability from next week.

Very nice price, I would pay extra $100 for HDR600 too.

Looks neat but at that price... I really hope quality control is OK. Cheap IPS is generally a recipe for tons of glow and bleed.

Agree 100%. ;)

Been using a Planar PXL2790MW since 2014, which is really only a rebranded iiyama for the North American market. It's an absolutely brilliant IPS glass-bonded glossy display for text and work. For gaming? Not the best display for gaming.

I mounted the PXL2790MW to a SpaceCo SpaceArm, yep just like Wendell of Level 1 Tech use to hide behind all those displays on SpaceCo SpaceArms, lolol :D

iiyama - a Japanese manufacturer, and my Planar (iiyama oem) PXL2790MW is now getting kinda old - 6years of long hours and hard work - trading up to another Japanese manufacturer an EIZO FlexScan EV2760 that just launched, also glass-bonded for clarity, by Christmas - if Christmas even comes this year.

Original Tom's Hardware review that made my decision way back in 2014. The clarity really is astonishing.

GB3461WQSU - can't decide whether that is a stolen password or someone repeatedly smashed their face on the keyboard.

I'm currently using a pair of Q3279VWFD8 monitors - thank AOC for that name.

Dell used to do the same... and then I bought a Ultrasharp 2515H that went straight back.

You know what they say about results of the past... what I am seeing here is a gamer oriented panel with killer specs at a great price, something's got to give, usually. But maybe its just a new wave / production line for yet another diagonal, we saw it before as the monitor battle is on in full swing.

Worth noting that it isn't a curved ultra widescreen.
Which should, in theory be helpful with screen uniformity, most curved screen panels have less uniformity in how they look from center to the edges when displaying.

What is a HDR Ready?

It's kind of HDR, but not the full range. I believe HDR Ready is HDR600 and Full HDR is HDR1000 or HDR10+?
