AMD and Oxide Games Join Forces to Advance Cloud Gaming Graphics

AMD and Oxide Games today announced a multi-year partnership to co-develop graphics technologies for the growing cloud gaming market. By combining leadership gaming hardware and graphics expertise from AMD with Oxide's proven development capabilities and innovative Nitrous game engine, the companies plan to create a robust set of tools and technologies for cloud rendering designed from the ground up to embrace the real-time demands of cloud-based gaming.

Woo, teaming up with a company that makes benchmark games, to work on technology that PC gamers largely have no interest in. Also Golden is right, AMD's GPU side the past few generations have been really sketchy, and dodging a lot of what they market, worst than the others.

They feature in the next consoles, and though I share your disappointment regarding the lack of use, they can't force Devs to use stuff anymore then Nvidia manages with Rtx and probably less since they don't splash cash and development help about.
Non the less it's all relative you can't use something that isn't there and when it is it's often many years before general adoption.

That's how the pc tech space has worked since conception, we're you not paying attention.

RDNA2 uses mesh shaders, a far better implementation of the same idea, same as Turing, the time to use and try to push for primitive shaders is gone.

Cool , so they're going to see some use, we at least agree on that.
Perhaps with AMD behind it and Sony and Microsoft behind it , it could now gain traction.

For the record I have been using the features Vega has without the issues some see with driver's and the fault list for everyone's driver's are not small If released.

Rdna2 has not been technically detailed yet either, your source?.

Does not dictate how they get there , they are not using RTx or tensor cores either.
