SteelSeries, the worldwide leader in gaming and esports peripherals, today announces the Nimbus+ Wireless Gamepad Controller for Apple devices. The Nimbus+ builds on the wildly popular original Nimbus controller, adding a bevy of new features, including clickable joysticks, new Hall effect triggers, and a new 50-hour battery. Purchase of Nimbus+ also includes the new Nimbus+ iPhone Mount which allows users to attach their iPhone directly onto the controller, allowing them to play games more comfortably.

Designed specifically for gaming on Apple devices, the Nimbus+ brings console-quality game controls to iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple TV. With an ergonomic design, ultra-responsive triggers and buttons, and a range of Apple connectivity options, Nimbus+ is the best solution to help bring gaming on Apple devices to the next level.

"With its iPhone Mount and an amazing 50 hours of battery life, Nimbus+ is the ideal companion to games on the App Store and Apple Arcade that feature controller support such as Sneaky Sasquatch, Butter Royale and Crossy Road Castle," said Craig Olson, President of Worldwide Mobile at SteelSeries. "We've added many other new features, making Nimbus+ the new global standard in mobile gaming performance."

The Nimbus+ meets Apple MFi standards for wireless connectivity and pairing. Nimbus+ also takes full advantage of features available to MFi game controllers including controller-supported game discovery, optimized button mapping for superior gaming experiences and control, and fast re-connections.

Nimbus+ follows in the footsteps of Nimbus, the world's best-selling mobile gaming controller that set the global standard for quality and performance. "The overall research and development, design, and engineering efforts undertaken by our teams represent our never-ending quest at SteelSeries to create first-party quality controllers worthy of supporting gaming on Apple devices," said Olson.

The Nimbus+ is available now at apple.com, and will be available at Steelseries.com on May 26.

70usd if you're curious like I was. Significantly less than I expected. Seeing as how they're catering to apple users they could charge double if they wanted.

Considering it's made of shit and sticks, no one should buy it. Period. Got tricked into spending $60+ on their previously-popular Stratus XL, which gave me anything but trouble.
Dead triggers, faulty right thumbsticks, sticky buttons, and at the end, just when I've replaced all the previous garbage with higher-quality parts that cost pennies, it surprised me with failed bluetooth interface.
Ended up throwing it into my pile of rejects in the office, and buying an XBO controller.

To be fair to both camps, later revisions of XBO controller also work on iOS|Android :D

yeah, i forgot about xbox 1s controller, so what's the point of buying the Nimbus+ anyway? is it any better than the 1s and ps4 controller?
It has a mount for the phone.

... and still manages to be more expensive than XBO wireless controller with separately-purchased mount.

is it any better than the 1s and ps4 controller?
Looking at the spacing between thumbsticks I can safely say that it's gonna hurt your thumbs just like Stratus.
